Headed to this course with another "over 60" couple. None of us are regular golfers but we wanted to get out. For the price, and difficulty this was exactly what we were looking for. Hey the fairways are ok the greens could use alot of work but were playable. Nice easy walking very short course. Beautiful location , someone else said "you get what you pay for" and it is certainly in that category. Don't expect a PGA type course, but very playable. One complaint was that there were "holes" on the green I think from squirrels or possibly skunks digging. Not too big but big enough to drop a golf ball in. They should fix them every morning .. I did e-mail Niagara Parks about it.

Thank Joe F

Played the course yesterday with my Wife who is starting Her golf journey, so that aspect was probably the only memorable and appealing trait we enjoyed. Golfing together is going to add a wonderful togetherness element for many years to come.
Anyway back to the course though... It is situated on the Old Oak Hall Estate right near Dufferin Island Park, the roar of the Falls serves as a peaceful back drop while you hone your craft. The holes range from 80 -160 yards and allow the average golfer to finish in about an hour.

Course condition is poor, but considering the $8 greens fee you really can't complain. It's as if you took a large estate property and planted 9 flags on greens grass. Many of the greens had large chunks and holes in them, many larger than the cup size which made putting on the small greens tricky at times. Navigating the course is a little tricky as well, keep a score card with you for directional aid.

A large flock of Geese were sharing the course with us and happily they allowed us to play through and around them, we made our shots literally right next to them and they didn't budge. Sadly one hole had a dead goose that needed to be removed, kind of saddened the day a little.

The club house is closed for the rest of the season, but you can still play on the course for free (which is a little bonus). Only catch is that it will not be maintained nor the grass cut.

In closure it was fun to give it a try, but the poor condition even with low greens fee's makes it difficult to want to return. We probably won't be back.

You get what you pay for. We paid hardly anything to play ,so I can't really complain to much.
They do need signs on the road to say the golf course is there. And better signs where the clubhouse is. Also a better sign after the first hole where the second hole is.

It's a good place for beginners. We were the only ones on the course so we took extra time.

My daughter has just taken up the game of golf and this was an opportunity for her to put in to practice the lessons she had recently taken. Only a short par 3 with nothing in the way of hazards but the wind was quite strong on the day we played. The greens are small so the shots from the tee have to be accurate. The greens are also a little "woolly" so don't expect to improve your putting. Nonetheless, for only $8 (Cdn) it was a worthwhile experience and we had a good father/daughter bonding time.
