“Spring event for us that makes us smile”
Reviewed 9 March 2012

We go here every spring to get a warm feeling that spring is around the corner. This place always gives us a warm and happy feeling. This year, they brought in some rain forest animals that will be on special display which included Common Marmoset, Brazilian Short Tailed Opossum, Emerald Tree Boa, Jungle Carpet Python, Red Footed Tortoise, Emperor Scorpions, Cuviers Dwarf Caiman, Panther Chameleon, White’s Tree Frog and the Reticulated Python. Be forewarned that there is a $5 parking rate in addition to the admission due to the botanical garden area location.

“A beautiful learning experience”
Reviewed 8 March 2012

Highly recommend for families. See butterflies at all stages in a natural habitat like setting. Wear yellow and they will rest on you. Children were delighted.

“Is a Yearly stop”
Reviewed 6 March 2012

I could spend a full day here. It's is very peaceful.
It's exciting to have butterflies the size of your hand flying just about you and landing on your shoulder or head. There are literally thousands of them, all brightly coloured and almost floating within the enclosure (appears to be a tropical rain forest). Make sure you take your camera and excited computer wallpapers are no more than a click away.
Not suitable for very young children as they are often scared of the butterflies when they land on them.

“Ever have a butterfly land on your shoulder?”
Reviewed 2 March 2012

Wonderful place for kids and grown-ups; the butterflies fly free in the atrium, and you walk in their habitat. (October 2008)
