Precisely. My wife wants to move Guelph... because of the bookshelf.
While I sing her praises, I have my own.

This is the place to be.
I'm originally from Guelph and on a visit home we stopped by to pick up a gift for my parents.

I instantly re-fell in love with the store.

This place has it all - an incredible collection of literature (graphic novels featuring artists like Delisle & Sacco) which you can't find elsewhere in Guelph, a cafe to grab a drink while you browse, restaurant, e-bar, and movie theatre to boot. This place is phenomenal.

Friendly staff to help and guide, and you could get lost in here for hours browsing - we certainly did.

Just note the theatre won't have your average Cineplex films, but a collection of documentaries and challenging independent films.

An absolute must visit.

Thank Matweeds

We spent a long lazy and very comfortable afternoon here with friends, reasonable prices, tasty food (including a good veggie selection) and interesting beers.

If you happen to show up at Miijida without a reservation don't despair! This restaurant, tucked away upstairs next to the cinema, serves the same great food albeit from a limited menu. The wapiti (elk) burger is fantastic. Fish and chips dish is very generous. The layout allows extra space for kids.

Good concept. Bookstore and theatre as well as the dining area. Food was good. Coffee was average. Service was a little slow. Agree with a previous review. Bit of a hipster feel to the place. Guess just not my thing.

Nice little spot for any occasion. They do some really neat things culinarily.. Cozy atmosphere and interesting art on the walls. Make sure to try the deep fried smoked pickles- one of the tastiest and most interesting appetizers I've had in a long time. The prices are good and the staff are friendly. Great place all around.
