My wife and I recently spent 3 nights here. We had initially planned on 4 nights but the bed was so uncomfortable we cut our trip short. This was near the end of an east coast trip to celebrate Canada's 150th. We stayed at several places and this was the only place we could not get a good nights sleep. Their queen size beds are smaller than average. We asked twice to switch to a king room and were told there were none. Every time I logged onto the wifi their homepage came up and showed kings were available. I would think you would want to keep the customers you have satisfied. Halifax is beautiful, our room was very nice and we loved the character of the hotel. Next time we'll stay somewhere we feel appreciated.

Room Tip: if you get a corner room you get 2 big windows. So nice and bright!

A pleasant short stay, clean, spacious and great views. Breakfast was the best out of the 5 hotels I stayed in. The lobby is an excellent presentation to the hotel as it feels like you are feeling like you are entering somewhere very luxurious.

We stayed at the Westin for 2 nights recently while the Tall Ships were in town. This is our third stay at this hotel and we enjoy it more each time we visit. The front desk personnel are exceptional and very helpful. Our room was on the 7th floor and we found it very quiet, clean, and very comfortable. Although we arrived earlier than the regular check-in time, we had the privilege of parking our car in the Westin parking lot while we enjoyed the goings-on at the Halifax Waterfront. This hotel is so conveniently located, across from the Farmers Market, near many museums and restaurants and shopping areas, and, of course, very near the Halifax Waterfront, where there are always so many activities taking place. The air conditioning worked perfectly well. We took advantage of the fitness centre. The beds are SO comfortable. We are looking forward to staying there again next year.

Room Tip: Beautiful views from the harbor-side rooms

The hotel is just minutes walk from the harbour and has views of the harbour and is just opposite George's Island

There is a nice pool and whirlpool as well as a reasonable size gym

There is a good bar in the hotel and the hotel also does a good breakfast buffet which is reasonably priced

As this is an old building some of the rooms aren't as modern as some places, the rooms have tea and coffee making facilities and have Starbucks coffee in the rooms

If you are travelling back to the airport and the shuttle isn't going at the right time I would recommend booking a town car from the hotel as it is cheaper than a taxi

The location is perfect and the hotel is pretty fancy. Rooms are tidy clean and comfortable. Staff is very friendly, front desk personnel are very knowledgeable and accommodating, bar staff were also helpful and friendly.
The hotel allows pets (for free) and parking is provided. There is also parking on the street. There is a fine dining restaurant then great for lunch and a coffee shop ( Starbucks). Car rental offices are onsite and the ViaRail station is right next door! A nice park with a brand new playground is right across the street.
Just steps from the waterfront walk board and the seaport farmers market.
