“An Excellent Inn”
Reviewed 10 October 2011

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The Inn is well positioned so that it is an easy walk into the town, and the town has a lovely community feel about it. We were made to feel very welcome in a wonderful home by Greg and Julie. The Inn was beautifully decorated and furnished with antiques of the period. Our room was very comfortable (huge bed) and our bathroom was enormous. The meal we had in the Restaurant lived up to the compliments we had read about it we were spoilt for choice. I would thoroughly recommend this Inn without hesitation.

Room Tip: I think all the rooms were probably excellent, but just remember there is no lift so you will have t...

This is the most magnificent Victorian mansion. It is set on its own private estate slightly off the road and within walking distance of the town. We had the most amazing bedroom with a four poster bed so high I needed the stall to get on it! The en-suite was extremely small but more than adequate with a shower, toilet and basin. We had a superb meal the first evening which we had booked in advance. Breakfast was lovely too. Unfortunately we were unable to be there the second morning for breakfast due to having to leave at 6.30am for a ferry to Brier Island. Greg gave us a small packed breakfast to take with us, which was very kind and unexpected (he was in his dressing gown about to make muffins). This has to be my favourite accomodation for the whole two weeks we were in Canada. I would strongly recommend staying there, you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: Reserve a table in the restaurant in advance as it was fully booked whilst we were there. (Open Wed...

One of the finest Inns we visited on our first visit to Nova Scotia. Quiet setting with easy access to the town with its interesting buildings, historic fort and botanic gardens. We found our hosts friendly and helpful.
We stayed in room 7 at the top was perfect with its sitting area, 4 poster and modern bathroom suite with large tub . The feather bedding ensures a restful night. All this together with the delicious breakfasts made for a memorable 2 day stay.
Our only disappointment was having read the dinner menu in our bedroom we found the restaurant was closed both evenings however we had a enjoyable meal at the Cafe Compose, a short stroll away and followed this with a visit to the local pub - worth a visit for its atmosphere.

This was our second visit to the Queen Anne Inn, a stunning victorian grand house (1869) in the heart of Annapolis Royal. From the friendly welcome from Greg and Julie, to the home baked muffins at breakfast and an excellent evening meal on our first night, the Queen Anne is an excellent base to explore a beautiful part of Canada that we Brits seem to overlook. Each of the bedrooms are very large and individually furnished in a manner befitting the home of a wealthy merchant. The town of Annapolis Royal is one of Canada's most historic and a highlight of our stay was the Garrison graveyard lantern tour. There is much to see and do and we look forward to returning soon

My mother, sister, and I stayed at the Queen Anne Inn as part of our annual mother-daughter trip, and my only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. The inn itself is lovely, and the coach-house fit us perfectly. The furnishings were lovely, and it gave us both the perfect combination of space and privacy: My mom slept in the bedroom downstairs, and my sister and I took the bedroom upstairs. And having 2 bathrooms for 3 women - what could be better?!

We unfortunately had to leave before breakfast i norder to catch the ferry out of Digby, but Greg packed us an amazing care package, including THE BEST muffins I've ever eaten.

If you can, try to stay at least two nights, but it's worth it, even if like us, you can only be there for a night!

Room Tip: If you're traveling with a family, or want a little more space, you might check out the coach ho...
