When you factor in the price this place is pretty decent. We stayed in room 104 with a view of the ocean which was nice. The room was clean, bed was comfy and the pillows were nice. The bathroom sink leaked like crazy when it was on full, the hand towels were clean but stained (kind of off putting) and the toilet was loose and would move around when you sat on it.
Don't know what to say about breakfast, it was ok nothing fancy. Again considering the price (just over a hundred bucks) we thought it was pretty decent. The front desk chap was fairly friendly which was nice.
We booked it to be close to the Digby ferry which was only ten minutes away.

First impression is that the hotel needs work. The room renovations were obviously done by an amateur especially in the bathroom. There's a ceiling fan which makes a lot of noise but pulls no air out of the room. None of the mouldings are done properly adding to the overall feeling of just being slapped together. The carpet in the room is filthy and is badly in need of a steam cleaning. No coffee and tea is offered in the lobby an amenity even the cheapest hotels generally provide. The breakfast is barely adequate. Probably should have given this property a miss.

We stayed here for two nights, we booked for two queen beds and I must say both beds are very comfy so as the pillows! We’ve been driving around east coast for couple days, staying in a different hotel and that was the only and first night I actually sleep good (i slept in for the first time since we landed in east coast! Lol) coz of their comfy bed and soft (just right) pillows.... :) it was an older hotel but clean and comfortable enough to stay with young kids! And not a bad price for East coast accommodation where GST is pretty high and they add tax on top of tax like when we stayed in a hotel in nova scotia...unreal!!
I’m not sure why other reviews said it’s a scary place or the ambiance is not very good. It Doesn’t mean it’s across the cemetery and beside the funeral is scary or bad ambiance at all! Our view was pretty nice, we can see the ocean and the little lake from our room. Breakfast was good, they have waffle maker so it’s very kid friendly. Unlike other hotel with free breakfast, they only serve toast and cereals! So overall, we are very satisfied staying in this hotel.

Took a long weekend trip and needed reasonably priced hotel. I like the Choice branded chain so tried this Econo Lodge location. This property may be a little old but is clean and well maintained. The staff were helpful and friendly. It offers a free simple breakfast that does include a waffle maker. The area is quiet and we felt safe walking to a nearby store. If you are looking to economy give this hotel a try.

Yes, it had wider doors and the door to the interior hallway had a lower peephole. Room and bathroom were large, but the BIGGEST issue is although there was a shower stool, it had to be put into the tub and you had to be able to step into a higher than normal bathtub to sit down.
Also, this room is located in a weird location from the rest and is the furthest from any parking space. Bed was lumpy. Heat worked well.
Room above us had a VERY noisy floor, or maybe elephants were staying there.
