I'd never been to Winnipeg before and had no idea about any of the restaurants in the city. I was with my parents and son and we are foodies by nature. We came across Bellissimo rather by accident. We were delighted by everything. Starting with our waiter Giovanni, who brought his expertise to the forefront. When I expressed an interest in wines of a certain grape varietal, he was able to make a solid recommendation for a wine. The starter charcuterie board was lovely with interesting cheeses and meats. The salmon met my lower carbohydrate dietary desires to perfection. My son had the lobster mac and cheese - delicious! Dessert (lemon meringue cheesecake and pannicotti) along with espressos rounded out a truly lovely experience.
