I've stayed in the Fort Garry Hotel several times, both on business and personal visits and I've never been disappointed. I'll echo some of the other reviews: beautiful elegant hotel with comfortable rooms, fabulous staff and delicious breakfasts. I love the 24 hour coffee and tea service that comes on a silver tray with cookies. Beats having to use one of the machines you get at most places! We also had an opportunity to visit the Ten Spa for a wonderful massage. Had trouble sleeping two of the nights as our neighbour had the TV blasting. One of the drawbacks of an older hotel I suppose. Also, there was a charge for the internet and it didn't work well so that was a little frustrating. But overall this is still the best place to stay in Winnipeg and we'll be back on our next visit!

Room Tip: Make sure you specify if you'd like a room with a bath tub as some rooms only have showers.

Stayed here during a conference and all I can say about the rooms is yuck! The decor is horribly outdated and did not make for a comfortable stay. The oly saving grace of this hotel is lobby area and restaurant which were quite nice. That said you usually want a comfortable room for a hotel stay, so there are better options out there.

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us. Feedback from our guests is always appreciated. I was disappointed however to read that the decor of your guest room resulted in an unfavourable impression on your overall stay. Our guest rooms feature deluxe plush Turkish cotton towels and robes, fine Italian bed linens, feather mattress, down duvet and pillows to provide a comfortable visit for our guests. We are also pleased to provide 24-hour complimentary coffee/tea and cookie delivery service to ensure you are able to relax and leave the service details to us.

Should you return to the Fort Garry, I encourage you to speak with the Front Desk during your stay if you are not satisfied with your guest room as it may be possible to relocate you to an alternate room.

Again, thank you for staying with us and we look forward to the opportunity to welcome you back to The Fort Garry Hotel, Spa and Conference Centre in the future.

Kind regards,

I stayed here for two days one night . Breakfast was fabulous with a chef ready to cook with whatever you order. I was charge $160 only that's with 5 star breakfast for two! and a parking! not bad! The only negative comment I can say is the price to get an internet connection but they offera free internet use for public at the front desk.

Elegant is an understatement, simply GORGEOUS entrance and restaurant on main floor, the best gym I've ever used at a hotel (it's complimentary), the room was spacious and large, the staff were real pros and friendly, i would recommend this place to anyone

We like this hotel. It is older, perhaps a little rundown in spots but where it counts it's wonderful, lovely staff, comfortable beds, bar and food,.She's a beauty of a hotel! The Spa10 is really phenomenal - the hammam treatment was sublime. X The point is, the owners focus on what's important and pull out all the stops. This is a big, old gorgeous property that they are bringing back to glory. It can't all happen at once - they've made superb choices.

I understand the owners are also responsible for a new and amazing yoga studio down the street, Power Yoga. It's truly an incredible facility on two expansive floors in an old warehouse.

Room Tip: The sun comes up at 4:00 am in June - do you like basking in eastern light? If so, book on the east side.

Thank you for staying with us for a second time, it is wonderful to hear that you enjoyed this stay even more than the first. The Hamam at Ten is a such a treat when visiting Winnipeg, we're glad you had the opportunity to relax and rejuvenate during your stay with us.

We are so excited about Yoga Public! It is a world-class yoga and TRX facility, it is Canada's largest studio. We are pleased to offer our guests discounted one-class and one-day unlimited passes for Yoga Public, available at the hotel front desk as well as the desk at Ten Spa. Don't hesitate to contact me if you would like some advice on classes!

We look forward to welcoming you back to The Fort Garry on your next visit to Winnipeg.
