A real gem of a restaurant that combines the care of a home-cooked meal with an exotic flair. If you are unfamiliar with Ethiopian food you're in for a treat: there is a remarkable scope of flavours represented in their buffet ... not all spicy, but there are a couple of dishes that certainly "bring the heat". The owners are the kindest folks and very pleased to help first-timers navigate the choices available. Injera (the traditional flatbread served with all dishes) is naturally gluten-free, but there is a more western-style bread not unlike bannock that is also made fresh daily. And the veggies! I can't stress enough how fresh, firm and flavourful is the assortment on offer. Kale, cabbage,carrot, beans, lentils (x3!) potato, beets ... the list goes on and on. Never overcooked and FAR surpassing usual buffet faire. If you're a vegetarian (perhaps not vegan, unless you find butter a worthy cheat) or a farm-fresh fan, look no further.
