Legends is a great place to stay. You can't beat the convenience of being so close to the gondola, too. It's pretty much ski in ski out. It's directly across from a supermarket and a few restaurants. It's definately quieter than staying in the town of Whistler. So it all depends on what you want. We took a cab one evening and shopped around the Whistler town, but usually after a day of skiing we were too beat to go anywhere other than the hottub.
My kids loved the hottub, pool table, excercise room and they even have an area for little kids to do puzzles, etc. They also have a movie room and every night they show a difference movie. There is also an adults-only hottub which I thought was a great idea for those who don't have kids or left theirs at home. It gives you a chance to not be around kids!
Our room was pretty much directly across from the entrance to the pool table and hottubs which concerned me at first, but It ended up being fantastic for the kids to come and go and I never heard any noise that I thought I might in the hallway.
The service was beyond fantastic. Everyone was extremely friendly and they were right there for you if you needed anything.
The only reason I didn't give it an excellent rating is that the rooms were smaller than others that I have been in, but then I didn't stay right on the mountain before either. I thought the price was great (cheaper than staying on the mountain in Whistler) and Creekside Whistler is just as good, if not better.
I rated very good for sleep quality because the pillows were big and firm, not good for the kids, but the beds were comfortable.
