Excellent hotel. All the amenities and service desired. Located at Blackcomb gondola, 5 min walk or shuttle to Whistler Village and main Gondola. Would stay there again.

great location ski-in/ ski-out on Blackcomb mountain, great amenities such as outdoor hottubs and heated pool, and lap pool with underwater music. Rooms are quite small, and beds needs to be upgrade. Parking is expensive, food is expensive, but if you can afford a room there, you can afford the food and parking. Whistler is overpriced in general, so you will fit right in!

I stay at the Fairmont for four days. The employees are fabulous---so helpful and friendly. The hotel restaurant food is delicious, and the wait staff provides enormous care and attention in describing the food and beverage services. The concierge was also particularly helpful.

If you're looking for a perfect location for ski in/ ski out, this is the place, perched next to the Blackcomb ski lifts.

The only minor drawback include the room, while very clean, was a bit dated. The housekeeping overlooking providing a robe in the room, and a request for hangers was overlooked. But the housekeeping staff appeared very hard working and friendly. I do wish the pool was a bit larger. Still, the Fairmont is an outstanding hotel with a great staff.

Absolutely fantastic! My wife and I enjoyed 'part 1' of our honeymoon here this past weekend. After getting to our room I decided that we'd like to splurge with an upgrade. The original room was fine, but for our honeymoon I wanted something more special. After calling front desk we were given our upgrade options and after choosing we were quickly moved up to the Fairmont Gold level on the 8th floor. Nice room with fireplace, great view of the mountains and close access to the concierge lounge. Complimentary hors d'oeuvre's and breakfast was a nice touch. The ski valet service and location next to the lifts that take you to some of the best ski terrain on the planet is great as other reviews have mentioned.

I was torn between a 3 and a 4 star rating; I would rate this hotel a 3.5. I ultimately chose a 4 because of the location and ski valet/storage. The location can't be beat - walk out of the hotel and up the stairs and the lift line is right there. They do a great job of taking your ski gear at arrival and getting it stored downstairs; pick up in the a.m. is easy, as is drop off.

In terms of the room, the size was fine, beds and pillows were decent, but on a whole it could use some spurcing up. The shower was small, there was mold on the ceiling, the grout in the bathroom could use a good cleaning, the wallpaper under the sink was peeling off the wall and some of the furniture was chipped. Also, soap and shampoo wasn't provided every day, the towels were average (not super soft/fluffy) and there were no bathrobes in the room.

Lattes downstairs at Portobello were good; the hot breakfast there I'd skip the next time around.

The bar in the restaurant is nice if the afternoon (and has a lovely patio to use if it's sunny out) but it is quite loud at night. It could use one area being cordoned off a bit so you could talk to the person next to you.

Also, I booked through Whistler reservations and they messed up delivery of my ski tickets. They should have been at the hotel, but didn't make it there - which meant I had to schlep to the Day Lodge to get my tickets the first day. If the deals are the same, book through the hotel directly; they will take responsibility for getting the tickets if you do (but the concierge was helpful in tracking down where my tickets ended up).
