Our family of four (kids 7 & 15) stayed here last week and loved almost everything. The pool was top notch, the beautiful lobby was classy and comfortable, the staff were all friendly and efficient, the room was typical hotel room but clean; the tv was flat screen 40+' and some HD channels.
My only gripes were.... there was no security on the elevators so anyone could walk into the hotel and go up to the rooms. Usually hotels of this class have card locks on the elevators. My other minor complaint is the cost to park a car...$30 ~ 35/night to park underground. Well, I just can't bring myself to pay that so I did some research....the skier's day lots were free but no overnight parking. I knew there were some street parking so I drove up behind the hotel on Spearhead Drive and found during the months from May to Oct, you can park on the street all day and night. There's a trail running down to the hotel so it's close enough to get to your car anytime. There were only a few cars parked here for the nearby townhouses so I don't think anyone is bothering anyone. There's probably room for 50 or more cars.
The pool(s) are nice - there are a few indoor and out and a couple of hot tubs. The walk to the village is a little far (10 mins) ; you can only go two ways as you have to cross Fitzsimmon's Creek but it's a nice walk.

Room tip: odd number rooms face the front of the hotel; even numbers face the ski hill. (I think)

Arriving in Whistler is always a wonderful experience. Sharing the experience with friends and family is exceptional. My good friend from Colorado was in Vancouver, and is an avid golfer, and there is not a greater location to golf in summer than Whistler. Beautiful courses in the area are second to none in any location i've ever visited. However, it was not to be this trip, as the monsoons of July in BC were upon us. Arrival at the Fairmont was exceptional. The welcome greeting from bell man, and then front desk was exceptional. Extremely helpful, cordial, and huge smiles awaited us as we checked in. We were promptly received and given instructions to our rooms. We quickly checked into our rooms, which were very well decorated, and had every amenity needed. Off to the pools/hot tub area, which is spectacular. Sitting in a steaming hot pool, rain coming down from the skies, and looking at a mountain view second to none. Soaking and relaxing, it was time to hit the lounge. Our service was superb. Waiter was more than accommodating, and quickly became a friend you could chat with for hours. Next morning check out was without a glitz, and off back down the Sea To Sky Highway for a round of golf at Furry Creek. A superb trip, in a beautiful resort.

Room tip: I'm sure all rooms are great, but if you happen to have a Fairmont Presidents card, it gets you on to the executive floor Great views

Beautiful property nestled at the base of the mountains in Whistler. Staff was excellent; meeting space is good; excellent food and beverage. Plenty to do inside as well as right outside the property. Definitely worth a return trip. While all views are good, ask for a room higher up facing the pool/ski runs...breath taking! Plenty to do in the summer and winter.

Room tip: Ask for a room on a floor higher up and facing the pool/chair lifts

A hotel with great “charisma” typically Fairmont style – superb beds and great gastronomy – just be sure to get a refurbished room
