We came to beach house restaurant during dine around and we were very impressed! Obviously the view is divine but I've had some hit-and-miss visits here in the past.
First of all, I think they served full portions for the dine around. Portions were very generous (we had to take home our desserts)!
I had the baked Brie, braised lamb shank, and key lime pie. My partner had the twisted calamari, west coast paella, and chocolate pave. Everything was delicious but the real stars were the braised lamb shank and the key lime pie! I also quite enjoyed the paella and I'm not even a big fan of seafood.
The only negative is that the restaurant (upstairs) is loud. They would benefit from some sound absorbing panels. It was fine for us but I could see it being a problem for others.

Thank Katja M

We arrived at a super packed lunch hour, and after initially saying the 5 of us would have to squish on a high table, we ended up getting a comfortable round table in the corner.
There are amazing views of the ocean, which is a great bonus on great service.
We only had the pizzas, as we we're doing Be a Tourist in Your Home Town so they were half price, and they were so so good. We each got a different one and they were all delicious, even the gluten free one.
Definitely worth going back to and paying full price!

Had a family dinner here. It's a nice open space that holds lots of people. The view is spectacular! The food was alright. It's usually decent. We had fish which was good, risotto which was passable and ribs which were nice. He deserts were good. They have a nice selection of local beer.

The lower level is perfect for a group meeting, a small wedding or other private function. The buffet spread was really well done and had ample vegetarian options as well as good prime rib. Upper level can be loud when restaurant is busy, and food has been hit and miss on several visits: sometimes great, sometimes served at wrong temperature, sometimes service can be slow.

The Prawn tacos and fish chowder were very good indeed, as were the yam fries. The presentation very good too. However, what started out as a pleasant lunch with friends overlooking Cordova Bay and the far islands, turned into a "let's vamoose asap" because of the extremely bad acoustics. We were sitting by the window, so weren't surrounded on all sides, but we couldn't hear ourselves speak, and had to listen to other patrons yelling at each other.

The waitress was charming, and couldn't do enough to accommodate..... she had obviously heard the same from other visitors re the noise levels. What a shame, as this restaurant has so much to offer, however they are sacrificing eating pleasure for the sake of a modern appearance..... some good sound acoustic baffling and absorption would work wonders.... just saying.....
