These have stunning architecture and some interesting history. Its worth a quick tour and I believe it is still free. Why not walk in and view our government at "work".

Thank you for your comment. To find out why the proper name for our buildings is the Parliament Buildings, please read this fact sheet: http://www.leg.bc.ca/_media/docs/LearningResources/FactSheets/English/ParliamentBldgsFactSheet-English.pdf

Fell in love with the Parliament building on one of the eve in Christmas season.
Such a beautiful sight with all those bright lights. But it's not all about the outside, inside this beautiful structure are a lot of stories to tell. Try to book one education tour with them. It's worth it. If you also want to sit in , in one of the sessions of our local government holds, you sure can. Just make sure to make those arrangements. Do come early. They will have to hold your cellphones and silence must be observed. Great way to know what's going on too in the government. Each political party proposals, discussions and opinions. I certainly enjoyed it. You can leave anytime but it's advisable not too. Inside this building too is a not too known restaurant. Good food. Desserts were average. From what I heard during lunch time they don't open it to public as they would like to make space for the MLP's on their lunch break. (You could always call first just to be sure) Try it, good for a one-time experience. Price was average.

We missed the official tour but were given a pamphlet to take a Self Guided Tour. We took our time and found the pamphlet helpful in explaining what were important highlights. I have now seen the Parliament Buildings of four provinces.

Lived and visited many Leg buildings in Canada and Victorias are my fave. The gardens are lovely and it being lit at night adds something.

The Building is a beauty and is a wonderful sight when you look at the Inner Harbour. But the guided tour is quite boring and it takes too long. There are much better ways to spend your time, so don't waste it. Just go around on your own and it will be just as well.
