“Great food.. lots of fun!”

I go to the Chophouse for Monday Night football, before or after hockey games or to watch the game. Always have great service and great food. Tuna salad is great, steaks are melt in your mouth (love the steak duo with braised beef short rib and tenderloin), S&P wings are mouth watering and you can't leave without trying the braised beef short rib poutine!!!! yum!

“The best place to meet before a hockey game.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 April 2012

This is always the best part of going to a hockey game with friends but make a reservation to ensure that you get a table as it gets busy before a Canucks game. The staff are friendly and the food is good and you can park right below the restaurant and walk to the game.

“Good size portions and selection”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 March 2012

You must try the tomato and bocconcini appetizer as the dressing was very tasty. The crab croquettes were really huge crab cakes and was enough as a light meal. We had the baked penne and that was also enough for 2 people. The filet was melt in your mouth texture and the lamb shank did fall off the bone. The apple pie was served in a cast iron pan and was filled with lots of apples. All in all too much food!

“A perfect hybrid - steakhouse and sports bar!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 January 2012

What an incredible evening thanks to Players! The room is spacious and tasteful. The menu was divine. The salmon and prime rib were to die for! The Cajun shrimp appie was so good we toyed with getting a second one.

They even put the sound on during the Canucks game, on top of their big projector and multiple televisions. It was so excellent to have quality food versus run of the mill pub food that sports bars churn out (and probably all buy from the same wholesaler)!

The prices are a more steakhouse than sports bar which is jarring at first but given the quality and quantity we did get value. It's cheaper than Gotham but more expensive than Jimmy's or the Kingston, so generally I have to concede that it is priced where it belongs, although the sides are definitely NOT worth $8 and some of the appie prices could be shaved..

Overall, though, we couldn't go wrong here as we chose well and had a blast.

We'll be back REAL soon.

“Paying top dollar for good food in a sports bar.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 December 2011

I thought the menu was a real hodge podge of choices. The food was very good but 30+$ steaks and $8 sides - mushrooms or potatoes etc is really steep for a sports bar. The music/tvs were to loud to have a conversation without yelling.
