Spent 6 nights here in August. Accomodation was perfect! We stayed in Haidaway room. Jacuzzi bath was what we needed after all our walking! Room had a sitting room too. Very relaxing. Breakfast was included in price and they were delicious! Dennis and his staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: They all look lovely. Haidaway and Garden rooms are ground level, with private entry.

We stayed here for the first part of our vacation for 4nights pre-cruise, we couldn’t have wished for better! Dennis was very welcoming and was prepared to go the extra mile with his hospitality, freshly baked cookies daily and mega breakfasts! The house is very well placed for exploring the city, with most attractions within walking distance. Stanley Park, Coal Harbour, Canada Place and English Bay beach to name a few. Our room was the Peak room which was the whole of the loft space, very roomy with kitchen area, clawed foot bath with shower over, day bed and very high, comfortable double bed. Lots of storage and WiFi. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place as a refreshing alternative to the standard hotels available.

This is a little gem of a b & b in a good location. Most places are within walking distance- we only got a bus to Granville Island. Good restaurants are within easy reach as is Stanley Park but it’s a nice quiet neighbourhood. Dennis is so welcoming and the rooms comfortable and well equipped. Breakfasts sometimes defeated us in their generosity but very tasty! Much nicer than staying in most hotels...

Beautiful Victorian building that is tastefully furnished. Rooms are lovely and very comfortable. Dennis and staff are super friendly and really make guests feel welcome. Great breakfasts with a new menu each day. Very tasty and well prepared. I have stayed here 4 or 5 times now and really would not stay anywhere else. Relaxing ambience. Walking distance to restaurants, downtown, Stanley Park and waterfront. Have recommended to a number of friends.

Second year of staying at Barclay House. Dennis, Lendon, Kim and Amy could not be more pleasant and helpful. The inn is immaculately tidy and the breakfasts are always a delight. Location is perfect for all activities in Vancouver. We will definitely stay there again.
