We were staying at the Hyatt Regency just down the street. The hotel recommended this place. We were visiting from Portland and enjoy Indian food regularly. We were visiting Vancouver for Memorial Weekend and ended up eating here 2 nights. Very nice, classy atmosphere and outstanding service. I am a Butter Chicken guy. Their's was among the best I have ever had. On our 2nd night my wife tried the Lamb chops Tikka. She raved about how great they were.

We highly recommend this place. You will not leave unsatisfied!

We went for lunch and opted for the buffet. The naan was very good, and the service was friendly, everything else was just ok.

Homely food away from home, that's what would sum up our Salam Bombay experience. We were on a holiday tour and was put up at Sutton Place on Burrard St.
The concierge desk has recommended this as the best and we never hesitated.

It was really awesome. The taste still keep me drooling. The butter chicken and Chicken chettinad was our pick along with the halibut coconut curry. The naan was excellent as well.

The most lovely things about this place are: the view and the wonderful servers. Servers were very attentive. Never allow our water glasses to be emptied. They were very prompt top it up at once. It was altogether a memorable one. Thank you

As brits we believe we know a thing or two about curries, so was surprised to see some of the mixed negative reviews. This is a well located restaurant in a good part of town. Service was great considering how busy it was (730 on a Thursday evening) with very attentive and pleasant waiters. Menu was extensive and fairly traditional and the food quality as good as I've experienced outside of London and Chennai. I had Chicken chettinad and wife had Chicken Dhansak. Both VERY good. Highly recommended.

When onion Bhaji was on the menu I had to try it as I've not found any good onion bhaji in several years. This was the best - light, airy, wonderfully flavorful without any heaviness. Then the meal got even better. We had salmon in a red curry sauce that was magnificent and naan that could not possibly be any fresher and better. This is every bit as good as the best Indian restaurants in London which have been my standard for judging Indian cuisine.

From the greeting to the servers to the presentation and most of all, the incredible, flavorful taste of the food, eating at Salam Bombay was great. I only wish we had discovered it earlier in our visit to Vancouver as we would have returned several times.

The restaurant is on the second floor of an office building next to Tiffany's across the street. An elegant place to dine with modest prices, this will be a definite return visit whenever we're in Vancouver.
