“More than we expected”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 May 2012

We were able to take a two day weekend out from Vancouver and had gotten a deal with Travelzoo for two nights at Pacific Sands. Normally, we would not be able to afford it but for $109/night it was affordable! This was especially important considering the cost to get over on the ferry each way was $98! We stayed at the Lighthouse Suites on the ground floor. The place was well kept and not crowded. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Although it was rainy, we enjoyed going out to the beach (right in front of the suite) because the resort provided raincoats! What a nice touch! They also have 'showers' so you can hose down your foot wear before you go back into your room. The suite had a separate bedroom and the living room had a pullout couch. The kitchen was small on counter space and the fridge often didn't close properly but all the plates, pans, machines (coffee, toaster, kettle) were very nice and clean..almost new! They don't have a dishwasher or phone but they do have free internet and there is no hassle with passwords or anything. Lots of DVD's to 'rent' (money goes to a wildlife foundation) but we found we didn't really need to use that because we were on the beach most of the time! There is a nice hike to a point which has excellent views of Cox bay and Chesterman beach. I would stay here again if I could! I recommend this place to anyone! We've stayed at different places in Tofino and this is by far the best!

Room Tip: Lighthouse suites are very nice...ask for an upper floor rather than the ground floor unless you lik...

We stayed at the Pacific Sands Resort for 4 nights in April. We found the staff to be helpful and welcoming. We stayed in a Studio room that was like a small apartment, and was decorated beautifully. The bed was very comfortable and our view of the ocean spectacular, in fact, we really didn't want to leave our room. I have only positive things to say about this wonderful resort and would recommend it to everyone. Staying at the Pacific Sands Resort really did make our holiday.

Room Tip: Every room is good because they all have a view of the ocean.

We just spent three amazing nights in one of the 2 bedroom Beach Villas. Although it was foggy and rainy all weekend, we were warm and toasty inside this beautiful place. I wish my own home was as nice! The villa had everything we needed to feel right at home, including a dishwasher, washer and dryer, and even rain slickers. They thought of everything, right down to the little tea candle beside the two person soaker tub. The view was incredible and the beach was just steps away from our door. We enjoyed some great walks on the beach and came back to a warm fireplace and.... my favourite.... heated floors! The staff were very friendly and professional. A great weekend!

We stayed in one of the Villas right along the beach, there was a well equipped kitchen to make meals for the family, there was a full size dining table to eat with the family. The entire place is just gorgeous, beautiful west coast design, high ceilings, exposed beams, heated tile floors. The master suite has an ocean view bath tub!! They have Aveda toiletires, which are nice. This is one of the best properties I have ever stayed at. In the lobby, they have an espresso bar, and a selection of locally made frozen soups, chilis etc. It really does have everything. If you catch a sunny day there, Tofino is one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Room Tip: We love the Villas along the beach, the higher the number the further away from reception, and noise...

Always my first choice to stay in Tofino, the service is excellent, the location is beautiful and the beach, ocean and walking trails are steps away. I love that the atmosphere is casual and the resort blends into the setting.
