We stayed here one night during a <12 hour stopover between ferries. This is an older, very simple and modest motel, but nice and clean with friendly hosts. Quick check-in process - less than 2 minutes. Sure, the carpet is old and worn, but it is vacuumed clean, then bedding is clean and the bathroom and kitchenette were spotless. Clean windows. No dust anywhere. Kitchenette is perfectly adequate for a short stay: Plates, bowls, cups, pot, utensils, toaster, coffee maker, cooktop, oven, refrigerator/freezer, table & chairs. Wash your own dishes or elect to pay a housekeeping fee. No elevator. Bring your own shampoo, mouthwash, etc. Bar soap is supplied. TV, desk, closet with luggage stand. No pillow-top mattress or luxury amenities here, but what do you expect for less than $70? (Much better value than the $200+ in Ketchikan for a room with moldy windows and a sticky TV remote!) Gerry offered wake-up call, was familiar with ferry schedules, and advised me on when to arrive for ferry departure. Muffins, croissants, scones, coffee/tea for numerous guests departing on early morning ferry. Would definitely stay here again between ferries. AAA discount.
