“Artsy Wino”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 April 2012

Well, if you like wine and art you will enjoy the stop here. But it can be a little bit of a Big Shot Winery so you lose some of the charm. There is a great little art gallery upstairs with art installations outside. The view is lovely. The wine is good.

“good food, reasonably priced”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2012

we had the trio of oysters there, looking at the present menu it looks like they have changed the menu since. The food at the time was great, reasonably priced and good service.

“Great wine-great views”

on the Naramata Bench with great views over the benches & to the lake beyond. Super wine, you can even adopt a row of grapes too and take care of them if you wish.

“Large and Commercal, but pretty”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 March 2012

Big bulidings and well manicured yards.
Very commercial for me. But nice for the general tourist.
Wine is easly available in AB (where Im from) and makes its way on to many Candaian resturant wine lists.
Not the best wine in the OK, but nice enough.
Worth a visit for the scenery.

“The Golden Egg of Wineries!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 February 2012

Red Rooster is one of the best wineries to stop at on the Naramata Bench, and we have actually been to this vineyard 4 times over the last few years. The atmosphere at this winery is very calming and enjoyable even where there are alot of people around. Their wines are supurb - favourites are the Golden Egg, Malbec and Voigner, but this is a vineyard that you can buy any bottle of their wine based on the label and know you will enjoy any of them. They do charge for tasting, but if you buy any bottle(s), you will get your tasting fee reimbursed. However, if you are a member of their wine club, they waive this fee for you and up to 4 friends, and if you ask for a wine that is not in their "flight" for tastings, they will take you up to their private tasting room!

The restuarant they have at their winery is quite good and a nice spot to stop for lunch. Their food pairs very nicely with their wines, however, it is not always open - it is more seasonal, and typically open through the peak wine touring times in the summer.

If you enjoy art, they often have very interesting pieces on display, and again, go upstairs as their is often very nice pieces set up there.

Don't miss this one! It is worth the stop!!
