I'm really not an overly picky person. That being said, Harbour Light left cleanliness to be desired. The bathroom wasn't dirty. Nor were the sheets. It was the floor.

As I walked into the bathroom for the first time that night, someone's discarded toenail greeted me at the entrance, lying on the floor. There was black dirt on the floor in front of my bed, and let's just say, I put my socks on whenever I got up to walk around!

Beds were comfy enough and we requested a room in the back of the motel, since there was a really busy street out front. The man who checked us in was really nice. We arrived rather late... around 9:45pm. Apparently, he was getting off at 10pm and when we walked in, he was writing us a note and was going to leave us a key or something. Strange that a motel this size doesn't have 24/7 front-desk service.

Don't think we'll be back.

Room Tip: Be sure the floor is CLEAN, request a room in the back, and arrival before 9pm!

the hotel is a bit tired, but friendly staff, 3minutes from downtown. easy place to stay a couple of days when visiting the area..we stayed in the suite, nice and spacious!!!and the road really is no problem for noise.

Stayed the night on our first night on the island after traveling down to Butchart Gardens which was wonderful. The room was out-dated, the coffee pot didn't work, hotel next to a convenience store so there were some homeless that came through and as we were loading our car asked for money.

We had one night at Harbour Light. Parking is easy and check in was fast and efficient. We had two rooms on the second floor facing away from the main road. The rooms are a reasonable size and the bathroom was clean and well supplied with towels and shampoo. The wifi was free and very fast. There was a large selection of channels on the TV. The big negative was the noise during the night. The people in the next room turned on their air conditioning at 3am and the noise from it woke us all up and kept us awake until it was turned off two hours later. Then the noise from emptying bins started followed by traffic on the nearby roads. All four of us in separate rooms slept poorly as a result. It is a shame it is so noisy here as otherwise the motel would be very good.

We just needed a room for the night when passing through. It's your basic motel room. It was clean and we slept well. The street noise diminished in the evening, so noise was not an issue for us. It is about a ten minute walk to many restaurants downtown. A very good value.
