Owner description: Rated as one of the best in the country, Gallagher's Canyon is a spectacular par 72, 18-hole championship course full of challenging fairways, well-protected greens and awe-inspiring vistas as play through tall groves of ponderosa pine and along the very edge of the picturesque canyon. Just minutes from downtown Kelowna and Lake Okanagan, the warm arid climate and brilliant sunny days common to this part of BC consistently serve up ideal conditions for exceptional golf. Open April through October, and home to a 9-hole executive course, The Pinnacle, the Canyon Grill restaurant, lounge and patio, and the GBC Golf Academy at the Practice Facility. Popular spot for weddings, tournaments, events and banquets. Semi-private. Host venue of the GolfBC Championship, a Mackenzie Tour PGA TOUR Canada event in Kelowna. Member GolfBC Group.

We arrived early and there was no one at the bag drop. We had time to warm up but there is not a range to hit balls (if there was we were not offered it). There was only a putting green. As we were waiting for our tee time there wasn't anyone teeing off for 15-20 minutes and the starter did not offer us to go earlier. We had to wait for the group before us who were late so we were late starting. It kind of bothered us as it made no sense. There was no where to buy coffee/drinks or snacks in the clubhouse even though it was 7:30 am. We never saw the cart girl at all, the water in the coolers were warm (so never changed from the day before) and there is no shack at the turn. It was a hot day and we could've used some drinks or even a bite to eat. The golf course is fair and has some challenging holes. It is an older course in an older community. The carts are not equipped with a gps system so bring your own.

I played a twilight round solo on a Friday. It was awesome! Teed off at 3pm, finished by 6:45pm. Unseasonably gorgeous weather (27c/80f) made it seem like a summer day and playing 'blind' at a course known for its challenges didn't bother me one bit.

Par is 71 and I scored a 93 so that tells you all you need to know about my game. LOL Nonetheless, the round was just awesome - such a beautiful setting with the big Ponderosa pines lining the fairways. Views of Kelowna and Okanagan Lake add to the experience and I am so happy I was able to finally play this track ($65CDN all in with cart).

Will definitely play here again and by choice, at twilight. Cheaper, less crowded, nature comes out and the best lighting of the day.

We played Gallagher's as our second round of the day so we were quite tired but it was still very enjoyable. We played shortly after they had the pro tournament there so the course was in fantastic shape. It is a little bit different style than some of the other courses in the area in that it has more trees and is more of a parkland style course. It is challenging but not overly so. If you play well you could get a good score. The staff was very friendly and helpful. All in all a great day. I would recommend playing here if you're in the area.

We spent an enjoyable day at Gallagher's Canyon. The course was in very good condition. The restaurant had very good and reasonably priced food and the staff were great.
