Nice view. Slightly over priced. No directory services avail. in room. No room service/menu provided. Not especially accomodating.

Thank you for your comments. We know how important Directories are and we are pleased to tell you we are in the midst of updating them all with new, great information. They will be back in the suites within the next two weeks.

The front desk is available to answer any questions our guests have.

Best Regards,
Barb Douglas

My boyfriend one of my friends and I drove 5 hrs to kelowna for a mountain adventure I was real excited to get to the resort from all that I read and saw from the pictures. We knew it was at least a 20 min drive into town but they don't mention that it's a 20min drive through some crazy mountain roads which was scary and unpleasant to drive along ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT (deathly) I'm not used to mountain driving so it was definatly not the type of place to stay if you want to be close to anything. It's for people who are planning to stay there on the resort.
The staff was kind enough to allow my very small dog to come even though they do not allow pets at all.
The place was quite deserted and not very pleasant to be at probably because it would be way more appropriate to go in the summer to enjoy all the offer.
The rooms were super crumby compared to what they show in the pictures. Basically they fool you with real good pictures.
We stayed one night and already wanted to see if we could cancel our second night because the thought of driving back and fourth along those roads was not pleasant.
So the morning after our first night my friend woke up to finding mouse poop and little leaves in his bed as though he had a little friend cuddle with him through the night yummy.
So we decided it was time to leave they were kind enough to give us our money back for both nights but i feel that was the least they could do, they didn't question it they gave us the refund on thevisa right away.

As I read your review about the road, I understand your concern with it, as most of us who work out here - drive it twice a day. It can be challenging for sure - but it is a BC classified road and a school bus route - so we have no control over it at all.

We are sorry your stay with us did not meet your expectations. We are a "true destination" resort being 20 minutes from Kelowna on 300 acres of mountainside parkland.

I am happy the staff made allowances for you and attempted to make the situation better for you. Thank you for mentioning that.

Lake Okanagan Resort does appreciate all the feedback, as it is taken very seriously. It helps us improve in areas we need to and appreciate our staff when they go above and beyond.

Thank you for your feedback,

Best Regards,

Barb

We stayed at Lake Okanagan Resort for a Wedding this past September.

Though located in a secluded area and a little hard to find at first, this resort is a fantastic venue, and a great choice by the wedding couple!

We stayed in one of their older buildings, but had a large room with kitchenette and comfortable beds, with a wonderful view of the "private" swimming pool, and the Okanagan Lake at the back.

The resort has pools, jacuzzis, a golf course, tennis courts, jet ski rentals, pretty much anything that comes to mind for a romantic getaway in the valley.

The front desk was competent and friendly, and the desk agent at check-out gave us some very detailed information on great wineries to visit. We had a great time with all the great information she provided.

We stayed in one of their older buildings, but we saw some of their newer ones, which are amazing! The bedding needs a little bit of an upgrade, but we appreciated the kitchenette, the size and the comfort of our room.

We definitely recommend this hotel!

We were upgraded from the older section to the newer, Pointe Beach Villas since they were having trouble with the internet in the older section. The upgraded room was amazing. Beautiful lake view, huge three bedrooms, clean and comfortable. If you have kids, beware that noise seems to travel fairly well since it appears to be a wood building, but most folks were good about keeping things quiet after 10. We checked into the older section briefly and while it wasn't as nice, it seemed clean and would have been fine if the internet had been working.

The resort itself seems to be in the process of a big renovation. Some parts of the larger resort look older and run down. I'm not sure what the large piles of debris were all about but maybe in the off-season they were just waiting to get rid of it. It was off to the side, but noticeable.

The staff was very friendly, helpful and did everything they could to make our stay nice, including the last minute upgrade.

If you're looking for a quiet place to read a book, then winter seems fine, it might be a nicer destination in the summer when you can get into the water.

Room Tip: Request new buildings lake view.

We read some of the reviews on here and tried to get upgraded, but would have had to pay extra! Not a place i would recommend unless they stay in the newer part. We arrived at the Resort and went to our room in the older part, and my first impression was not good! Our bed was thrown together quickly, and the ceiling in the bathroom was falling apart, the kitchen sink tap is just about ready to fall off, it was not at all what we expected. The staff is wonderful and always helpful!

Thank you for the compliments on the staff - it is appreciated.

With regard to your upgrade concerns regarding cost, that is between the guest and the RCI contract of which we have no control over, here at the Resort.

All of our guests whether they are part of the hotel, timeshare or owners are valued equally and we work hard for guest satisfaction that is within our control.

I am sorry your vacation did not meet your expectations. We are in the process of upgrading our suites and hope you will come out and stay with us again, we will do our best to have you in a suite that meets your satisfaction and the RCI criteria.

Best Regards,

Barb Douglas
