My partner and I booked a room at the inn for a wedding we were attending there. We decided to 'splurge' on the King Suite, primarily due to the description of 'a jacuzzi/soaker tub'. Upon arrival, we had all of our luggage in hand and were simply handed keys, and told to enjoy our stay...and proceeded to have to wander about the hotel, up and down stairs until we stumbled across our room. Would have definitely appreciated a simple, 'it's just down this hall to your left' before the receptionist walked away from the desk. Our room was very lovely and had a beautiful view of the river, but we were nearly heartbroken to discover that our bathroom featured only a standard bath/shower unit that one would find in a Motel 6. On top of that disappointment, there was no coffee pot in the room, and we were told that we would have to pay about $10 to have coffee and continental breakfast service in the morning. So, we woke up the morning of our stay, and were so disappointed #1- by not even being able to enjoy a cup of coffee for the price we were paying, #2 - by not being able to enjoy the lovely bathtub we had been looking forward to, and #3 - feeling so uninformed of what the hotel had to offer, that we didn't even know we could get breakfast right next door at the golf course until after we had packed up, checked out, and driven into kamploops for breakfast, for-going the walk by the river that we had also been looking forward to.

Your room was on the main floor so unfortunate you to go upstairs and back down again. We try and tell everyone what floor they are on. The person who looked after you is new so if we did not I apologize. You have helped future guests as in the future we will write on the key envelope what floor the room is on. Motel 6? This is pretty harsh. Not all of our King rooms have a 6' jetted Jacuzzi tub and there was no request for one in your reservation. If you had mentioned it we would have been happy to move you to a room that does include one. It is really unfortunate you did not let us know how important the Jacuzzi tub was to you as it was an easy fix. We do not have coffee in our rooms for a number of reasons but we do offer great complimentary Lavazza Italian coffee in our library, teas as well. So much better quality than in room coffee. The coffee was complimentary and the breakfast was $9.95, You could have had breakfast with us and still had your walk along the river. We are sorry we did not meet your expectaions, The wedding went well. As far as we heard everyone else including the Bride & Groom had a great time. Hope you enjoyed the wedding & reception and I wish you had of let us know your issues as we would have solved them.

This is my heaven if there was a heaven on earth.
I have stayed in many hotels over the life of my career. Most were the usual with all the features and with all the disractions that go with them. When your meeting for a conference and you work very hard to get it done, you are really competing with "hurry up so we can go to the casino or out on the town or whatever".
Here it is a country setting with golf close by and the river lazily creeping by out back. Large clean rooms, good food, large and small meeting rooms and all you need to have a modern and great conference without the distractions! This is the second time I have stayed here and it will not be the last. Ah Heaven I love it

We recently had a group of family and friends stay at the Manor House. What a beautiful setting and facility! In addition, we had a culinary lesson from Executive Chef Mitch Schaffer. Mitch and his team put everyone at ease and made the experience warm, welcoming and fun! I would highly recommend booking at this property, as well as adding group services such as this culinary experience. What a great way for a group to stay, have dinner and entertainment all in one night.

Very nice concept and if full amenities and services available a beautiful location.
There were no elevators or porters at this 5 star resort. We had to pay for a continental
breakfast. There was no coffee shop or all day cafe for breakfast or lunch (discovered on last day of stay that the golf course next door had a restaurant open at least for lunch and the rest of the day for afternoon coffee, snacks, etc). Restuarant only open from 5:00pm. In room coffee pots not allowed. No balcony furniture. No privacy divider on balcony between adjoining rooms. No real amenties on site other than closed seasonal pool and out door hot tub. Believe the hotel needs a major upgrade as getting old. Boards around balcony rotting breaking away, sink wouldn't drain. If a major upgrade and full services put into place we would return, otherwise no. Because of the lack of services the location then becomes very inconvenient as you have to continuously run into the city of Kamloops, which wasn't the point of the stay.

Room Tip: Use caution if any mobility or chronic pain issues, there is no elevator in this facility and they did not offer to move us nor was there a porter to assist with luggage. No morning restaurant other than a continental breakfast that they a full breakfast price for, no lunch afternoon eating facility. South facing rooms on 2nd floor have a nice view of the river, first floor the view may be blocked in a lot of the rooms.

This is a difficult one and I ask anyone reading this to please look at all the other comments by other guests. The only thing mentioned to us during the stay was the coffee .

You are correct there is no elevator and if requested generally we would have happily moved you to the main floor but when you were here the main floor was full.
If requested we always carry luggage for our guests. Actually when people ask about an elevator we automatically offer to carry the bags upstairs.

As you know there is no such thing as a free breakfast. If free the room rate reflects it so everyone pays even if they do not eat. Does not seem fair to me so we charge only those that eat. We charge $9.95 for a great continental breakfast. You didn’t mention the great room rate we gave you.

As you brought your own Starbucks coffee to brew we knew that coffee was important so our team brewed it for you and unfortunately we did not do as good a job as Starbucks. When this failed we did give you a coffee maker.

As April is generally a slow time for us the balcony furniture had just been removed for cleaning. If mentioned at the time we would have happily brought some for you. Another guest room had made such a request and we replaced the furniture for their deck

The hot tub was open and we have a great gym . The only amenity not open is our seasonal outdoor pool.

True we have never been open for lunch but our chef was on site preparing for a wedding so we would have been happy to make you something if asked.

View from first floor great as well whether you are on the river or mountain side.

We are constantly maintaining our property and this deck rail trim does need work. Thanks for letting us know.

We did not receive a request to fix the sink and it is working well now.

Thank you for your positive comments and we are happy you did stay with us for two day.

David
