Enjoyed another terrific meal - you MUST try this soup. We really enjoyed the short ribs and those amazing brussels sprouts and chantrelles, the canneloni and of course the crispy, creamy polenta cubes. The service was outstanding, as always!

We have been coming for lunch here for a few years. Lately we noticed that the quality of the food has been decreasing. On a recent visit my pasta carbonara, while quite tasty, was only luke-warm. My partner's mussels tasted strange - and of course we should have mentioned that to the server but we didn't - and mussels is something that must be fresh or dire consequences can occur! The soup and the souffle were lovely however and their coffee (an important ingredient of any meal) was strong and intense.
I am prepared to try Hudson's one more time, and if there is anything that is not quite right I will for sure mention it to the server. The restaurant has so much potential but the food has to be improved upon.

I love the interesting ways foods are combined at this restaurant. The portions are not overwhelming so you can have a wonderful meal without feeling stuffed. Great job, keep up the good work. I’ll be back

This is a quaint restaurant that was renovated from an old house. It had the potential to be great, but they have failed. It's the story of a small town restaurant trying to charge "big city" prices. The portions are small and the prices are inflated. Like that of a fine 4 star establishment, but they don't deliver on the quality or service. The service is very, very slow and the food is nothing to write home about. We been to very nice restaurants and some very nice quaint dinners, but this place is simply a tourist trap. Although I don't know anyone who really wants to be a "tourist" in Duncan BC.

In short, you will wait 1/2 hour to an hour for your appetizers and an additional 1/1 to hour for your main meal. If you choose to get wine, you'll be paying far too much, even at fine restaurant standards. This is a story of a little boy trying to wear big boy pants or the little engine who can't. All show, no go!
