Stayed for two nights in March. Typical road-side motel, but nicely furnished. The furniture, linens and toiletries are fairly good quality and the bed was nice. The room was clean but there was mildew in the tight spaces in the bath room. Room noise can be pretty high; it's along a train route, walls are thin, and the plumbing is loud.

Book by phone. I thought my online booking completed successfully but realized on the travel day that I did not receive a confirmation. Luckily a room was available when I arrived.

Stayed here with our family and it was very old and dirty. The place needs a major renovation. The bathroom was tiny and not very clean. Walls were paper thin and could hear the room next to us. Beds and pillows were really comfortable.

Would not stay here again.

We stayed overnight in January - in town for the Jasper in January experience. Our room had 2 double beds, and it did make the room feel a little cramped - but how much time do you spend in the actual room? The room was perfectly clean and quiet. I had been concerned as we were near the hot tub area, but it is closed off at 10 pm, so night noise was not an issue at all and we heard no noise of early skiers heading out, and we have stayed at places in Jasper where there was so much morning stomping of people overhead. My only criticism was the room was so warm, and I did turn the thermometer down as low as possible, but it still felt warm. I would definetly stay again - we couldnt' beat the price and the location is good.

Room Tip: being on the inside of the hotel complex so we had no cars near us was a bonus - we faced directly t...

Had a very nice stay at the Tonquin Inn over the Family Day Weekend.
We enjoyed the space of the 1 bedroom (2 queen beds, one in living area, one in bedroom)with kitchen unit, and with 2 little ones, having a kitchen and table to eat at was very handy, for keeping costs down and containment of little people.
Only minor issue was that the heat in the bedroom did not shut off the entire weekend, despite having the thermostat set as low as it would go. Kept the window open and used the ceiling fan, and it was bearable at night for sleeping.
Kids loved the outdoor hot tubs, although they did get quite noisy at night with the skiers and their alcohol consumption. During the day however, we had them often to ourselves, and the indoor pool, although on the cool side, was just the right size for our family to use.
Very attentive staff, any requests for towels, kleenex, etc were dealt with quickly.

Would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for families looking for a little more space than the regular hotel room.

Room Tip: Go for a kitchen and bedroom unit if you have kids.
