Lydia and Gerry, the owners, are already deeply booked into 2020 so clearly they do not need our referral help BUT I want to acknowledge their property anyway.
IF you have a chance to book a stay in the 2 bedroom basement suite of their home, take it! It was only my hubby and I so we did not require the extra bedroom BUT we made good use of it, at first using the extra bed to leave our opened suitcases on before finally deciding to use the drawers for our clothing, another first! ( Hotel room drawers have always struck us as “ skanky” but we had no such concerns here)
While this was our first vacation rental stay , it will most certainly not be our last although Lydia and Gerry have set our personal expectation bar mighty high for future rentals elsewhere! The Edwards’ were welcoming while not being intrusive. After listening to our goals/ desires while visiting Jasper NP and taking into consideration our levels of fitness, Lydia offered us exceptional recommendations for trails to hike , mountains to summit and also made great restaurant recommendations. Using the included washer and dryer, we saved ourselves a bunch of money in the water costs we usually incur from bringing sweaty, dirty clothing home from our adventures. We even binge watched some TV on premium channels that t we would have had to pay a significant amount for at home, again included.The fridge was well stocked with beverages , with extra in the pantry. The location could not have been better. We just wish WE had seen some bears , an experience another recent reviewer was fortunate enough to have . A hot tub would have been nice to have as an amenity here but we certainly would not mark them down for that. If you are reading Lydia and Gerry, a great big thanks again for a deeply memorable stay!!
