I had heard the City had finished fixing the Douglas Fir Trail, and that it was open. The trails are on the north facing escarpments of Edworthy Park, and so were still VERY snowy, even in April. I tried seeing how far I could go in my walking shoes, but the icy trails looked a bit scary, so I didn't get too far. To be comfortable exploring this trail until the ice goes, users should really be wearing serious ice grips on their shoes or boots, and I think I'll go back soon but more suitably geared up.
