I took my girlfriend here for lunch for her birthday. The fish and chips are excellent. It was cooked fresh and came piping hot to the table. We both had the Haddock. You have your choice of Cod or Haddock for $16.50. I really enjoyed the mushy peas but my friend didn't like them, they were an extra $3.25. It was her first time tasting them but I was raised on them. I also had a pot of tea which comes in a fairly large pot. The service was excellent even though the place filled up and there was only one server. She was very personable and made sure you had everything you needed. ie lemon wedges, tartar sauce. Will definitely go back.

Was looking forward to a good meal of fish and chips but was sorely disappointed.

Greasy soft fries served with one fillet of unseasoned cod in a batter which was also soggy.

We ordered their cod and chips with a side of cole slaw, and coffee. It was a Sunday evening and they were very busy with take out orders as well as in house diners. The restaurant is very small. The server was friendly and very efficient. When our meal came it was hot and nicely presented. The cod was amazing as were the fries.
Pricing was on the higher side however it was worth it. Their menu is quite limited. In addition to fish I noticed menu items such as sausages , fish cakes, etc.
We recommend The British Chippy if you are wanting great fish and chips.
