St James feels like the typical international Irish Pub with the similar decor, and standard variety of Irish alcoholic beverages plus a few local and regional on tap. Food choices are extensive, catering for all preferences.
I had Fish and Chips on Friday as it was there Friday special. The fish is Alexander Keith's beer battered, however the meal isn't a standout, and probably would not get it unless it was at the Friday Special price. A little oily but had a bit of a crispness to it.
The vibe in the pub was relaxed, semi-professional.
Service was good.
They have some tables outside and a few on the main area of the pub. There is an upstairs loft dining area that is smaller than the main floor.
A decent place to go for an after work unwind, or meal with family/friends/colleagues.
