From start to finish a complete and total disaster
Appetizers unripe Roma
You call that Caesar Salad... where’s the dressing
Pizza .... what a 10 year old knows better
Than to the main Veal Parmesan
Maybe the kitchen staff went to a different cooking school
The veal was by far the worst that I’ve had in my entire life
Not only over cooked it was last weeks overcooked veal and then some
I have no understanding why and how this restaurant is operating
Please do not waste your hard earned money.... skip skip skip

Thank HansandMik

It was unfortunate that there was construction along the way to this restaurant taking a long detour to get here but finally made it. The place is dark and cozy and we were seated immediately. Started off with the Calamari Scallopini which was delicious followed by the Frutti de Mare. Service was good but found the prices are a bit high.

I'd booked a table for 2 - we arrived about 3 minutes early. First off, you access the restaurant off a take out pizza place. The host greeted us but before he could seat us, the phone rang - someone with a pizza order, I guess. Apparently that was more important than seating us. We waited while he talked with the person on the phone - and then just left. The entrance is poor and honestly, we didn't feel welcomed. Too bad. We live in the area. I don't think we'll go back.

Three of us dined at Involtini on a Friday night in early February. Inside was warm, cozy, quiet (for a change, not the usual place where we have to yell at each other to be heard). One in our party has been there before and it was her suggestion. We were greeted pleasantly and service was prompt. There is a lot of choice on the menu, so for some of us, making a decision takes longer! Everything sounded really good. The two of us who had not been there before decided on a Prawn pasta dish. It was very good, but we left with the belief that there is no way the price for this was justified. A small portion of this pasta, with prawns, sundried tomato shreds, a few shreds of roasted red pepper in a garlic-wine sauce, was priced at $19.00. I had the full portion which was $27.00. I found that rather steep for such a meal. Where we had an issue that as we thought about it more, is a source of some concern was that we were upsold on our wine. Because two of us decided on the same glass of red wine, and asked for a 9oz glass, we were told that to get a half Litre of same would be cheaper than two glasses. OK. We don't usually do this, as one glass is enough especially when driving after. But the waiter repeated that it would be cheaper. When we got the bill, the half Litre of wine was $40.00! That would have meant the glasses would have to have been over $20.00 each! I did not see that on the menu at all. Our fault, we fell for it. But we felt that was rather false upselling. We all agreed that the coffee we ordered for our dessert was excellent. The supplier they are using quite obviously provides them with great beans! One in our threesome had a Caesar salad, priced at $11.00. It was good enough, but seemed as if the dressing used may have been a bottled variety. At any rate, the food was very good and the service as well. We just didn't really appreciate the misinformation about the wine. Would we return? We have another favorite Italian restaurant in Calgary that is excellent and comes in at a far better price point. So, perhaps we won't.
