Nice little gem in the heart of the lake louise area. No cell reception is coolest part. Cabins/suites are beautiful. Nice and wooden. Quite scenic area yet very close to Lake Louise & Banff, with lots of activities to do such as cross country and downhill skiing, hiking, sight seeing, etc..

The best part is we brought a portable bbq and did a bbq in the suite's balcony. Yummy.

Room Tip: All of them seem good. We did have a room by the creek.

Spent four nights at Baker Creek - family of four from ON on a spring break ski trip. Simply perfect. Stayed in one of the two bedroom (one queen + two twins) cabins facing the woods. Just the right size - cozy yet enough room to have mom and dad enjoy a quiet glass of wine in the living/dining area while the kids (10 and 12) played/read in their room. Also enough closet space for a family of four who brought full ski gear and such for a week. Loved the fact that there are no phones or tv. Fantastic fireplaces as well - they give you a low-maintenance, roaring fire all night (watching a blazing fire beats the schlock on the tube any day - even the kids thought so). Wi-fi is provided but you have to be patient with the signal in the mountains (but if you see this as a big issue, you are in the wrong place to begin with). As others have said, take advantage of the kitchenette and bring your own provisions - stop in Banff to do this before you hit Lousie (limited food shopping choices in Louise). Nesters is a great food store to hit. That is not to say that the restaurant on site is not good - we had dinner there once and it was very lovely. Throughout, the staff was friendly and very attentive - front desk person hand-delivered a telephone message one evening in the middle of a driving snow storm and the owner came personally to help clean up a (very) minor plumbing problem. Top to bottom, a place that is an ideal spot in which a family can set up camp to enjoy the spendor of the Rockies. Going to head back again for a summer stay...

Room Tip: Loved our cabin facing the woods.

Found on trip advisor and will be coming back. By far the best experience I could of asked for. Absolutely beautiful and great service. Defiantly would recommend. My wife and I didn't want to leave. The trappers cabin is great for couples. Jacuzzi right by fireplace and privacy like we have never experienced before. But service is still at its peak. Have to experience to know what I mean.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Baker Creek this weekend and we very pleasantly surprised. We were looking for a quiet get-away from Calgary, that was unique, independently owned, and embracing sustainability practices. We were really impressed! The restaurant is great too! We'll be back Baker Creek....

Very nice cabins, quiet location, friendly and accommodating staff. Definately need to take your own food as the restaurant is only open for supper in the winter.
