We were on a trip around the Rockies and chose this hotel for its location and contemporary look. The location is good, rooms are a decent size, lobby is welcoming, staff are efficient, nice little balcony overlooking Bear Street that caught late afternoon sun, decent shower/bathroom. Only complaint was a super noisy air con unit (like sleeping next to a jet engine!) and some of the hotel guests making noise late at night (walls/doors must be paper thin!). Also, don’t bother with the restaurant, it’s not great. Apart from that, all good!

Our family of four loved staying at the Moose hotel. By the time we booked (even though this was well in advance of our stay) there was no double room available so we shared a room with our two teenagers - two double beds in one room. Although it was a bit cramped, there was a small lounge room and kitchen which helped make it feel less of a squeeze. The room was spotlessly clean. The hotel is lovely - modern and stylish while still feeling welcoming and comfortable. We received a warm greeting on check-in, in the lovely lobby with a welcoming fireplace. The location is very good - less than a five minute walk into the main part of town. I would highly recommend the Moose.

We were here just one night, but oohed and ahhed at the clever and beautiful ironwork decorations, the gorgeous woodwork and, of course, the great folks we met there. A beautiful and delicious restaurant shares the downstairs space. We had two meals there, highly recommended, will review separately. Our room was cozy, just couldn’t have been better. A great experience in a beautiful setting.

Moose hotel and suites is an average hotel
But they charge as if they are a luxury high end hotel
we paid almost the same price as if we stayed in the Fairmont but got service as if we stayed in a regular run of the mill hotel
the rooms were large
but service was not there at all
the rooms not at all luxurious
we needed to ask for the room to be re cleaned and linen to be changed
we need to ask for things they forgot to put into the room such as facial tissues, hand towels etc
the hot tub area is outdoors and large
but not cared for during the day
there was never a towel attendant etc
would not stay here again
we had a room facing Banff ave , we were on the top floor, we still were kept up till 3 am from the noise on Banff ave, cars, trucks , buses and drunks
If you stay here, I suggest you do not, make sure you have a room not facing the front of the hotel as you will not sleep
When we complained we were just brushed away

Room Tip: make sure you do not face Banff ave also ask for a top floor
