This was a girls weekend away . Girls, may be a slight exaggeration, but middle aged friends weekend away sounds a bit dull and our stay with Moureen and Vince was anything but that!
It's the perfect location for walking in Derbyshire . With plenty of walks direct from the door .
You're set up for a great stay from the moment you arrive , as Moureen and Vince are so hospitable. It's great after a long wet drive , to have a chat and a cuppa with your hosts .
The room was very comfortable , with everything they we needed . An added bonus was the wonderful view of the garden and surrounding countryside .
The next day after a substantial, beautifully cooked breakfast and cheered up by Vince's banter we faced the English wet weather .
We appreciated returning to a cosy room, with a good shower and a comfy bed .
Moureen and Vince were a mine of information on places to visit and on good local eateries . It felt as if we were house guests , not paying guests .
If you're looking for a traditional place to stay, with lots of character and good hospitality, then this is the place for you .

Myself, my husband Paul and his mum arrived to a lovely, warm welcome from our hosts Vince and Moureen. We had seen previous reviews about Vince's humour and he didn't let us down. "Welcome Paul and are these your daughters?"
Aside from that, there is so much more to them both. Warm, friendly, humble, welcoming, caring ... I could go on (and I know I am speaking for the three of us - we all effused this all the way home).

Our accommodation was outstanding, we stayed for two wonderful nights. Moureen and Vince were excellent hosts, interested in our adventures and providing such a beautiful fulfilling breakfast there was no need for lunch. We would highly recommend staying in this home-from-home, welcoming, B&B. Their care and consideration for their guests was second to none.

Vince and Moureen: Thank you for a wonderful holiday in your luxury home. The location is perfect for the beautiful villages within the stunningly attractive Peak District.

Theresa, Paul and Mum.

The farm offers B and B.The rooms are clean and the showers work wonders for those of us exhausted from a days fly fishing. The breakfast is exceptional and time of eating and departure are very flexible.Vince ,mine host, is amongst many accomplishments a former Captain of the Welsh Fly fishing team. His knowledge of the area and the right fishing flies to use are prodigious.Maureen is the queen of the kitchen-ask for the black pudding,a local specialty which complements the other locally sourced ingredients.Maureen also has an in depth knowledge of the surrounding areas and the restaurants in the area.

Room Tip: All rooms offer the same level of comfort
