“A great walking week with friends”

Just spent a week at Winnow Barn with friends, great base to walk from with paths just outside. The barn has been newly converted by the owners John and Andrea who have done a great job with 4 bedrooms all on-suite ideal for four couples like our party. A wonderful living area with space and equipment for 8. John and Andrea were friendly and helpful and clearly want you to be completely satisfied and will do anything to make this happen. Tesco's delivers to the barn so you can self cater or try out some of the local pubs we visited the Derbyshire Arms in Hartington which provided great food and service.

“Perfection”

Extremely comfortable and very attractive barn conversion well positioned for touring the peak district. Plenty of space for a large group or 2 families. Friendly and helpful owners on site. Would definitely recommend this property.

“Relaxed vibe, attractive accommodation, beautiful countryside”
Reviewed 14 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

A very enjoyable stay at a clean and thoughtfully decorated converted barn. There are four bedrooms, each of which are a really good size. The barn has comfortable furnishings, and a beautiful log burning stove in the open plan sitting room which threw out more than enough heat to keep all of us warm. It was nice to see a well appointed kitchen with good appliances, which is sometimes lacking in self catering locations. The property is well situated for local villages, with good pubs and stores, and sits in beautiful countryside. Our 4 year old son really enjoyed meeting all of the farm animals with the owners in the morning. Finally it was a nice touch to be welcomed into the barn with essential provisions like tea and milk, and the home baked lemon cake was very tasty. We would definitely stay here again.

“Stunning luxurious barn conversion & great hosts”
Reviewed 13 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Hired barn for long weekend for extended family to attend local wedding. Very easy arrangements and excellent communications throughout. We were extremely impressed by standard and quality of accommodation and the fresh lemon drizzle cake (still warm) and welcome pack of basics were a great touch. Lovely welcome note as well. Only wish we could all have stayed longer and hope to make a return visit soon. Very swift refund of damage deposit.

“A perfect place to relax in superb accommodation”

Our second visit to Winnow Barn and it wont be our last. The Barn has been sympathetically converted and furnished to a high standard. John and Andrea Clarke, the owners could not be more helpful and welcoming. Look forward to the fabulous home made cake on arrival. The barn is very remote, which is it's appeal, however there are numerous walks reasonably close with a great selection of pubs to visit. Highly recommended for family get together or friends reunion.
