The waitress spoke English which was nice but was not overly friendly. Then when we sat down and looked at the prices we decided not to stay after already ordering an overpriced drink. But it is on the classier side and clean. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Get there early and hungry. By European standards, this is a great value restaurant with an excellent wine selection. Good desert also - friendly, efficient staff. It deserves its excellent rating on Tripadvisor.

A group of 6 of us arrived to Chepe Parrilla De Barrio, a lively little Argentinian restaurant at 9:30 on a Saturday night. We didn’t have a reservation, but were quickly attended to, a table was readily made available, we were seated and menus were presented.
The wine list was not extensive but was very well put together with emphasis put on wines pairing well with BBQ grilled meats. We chose a very nice Spanish Tempranillo and proceeded to consume 3 bottles throughout our dinner service.
For starters we all shared both a tuna and beef carpaccio, toasted bread wedges and chimichurri. What a great start to a wonderful evening. The carpaccio was absolutely delicious and I wish they sold that chimichurri in take out sizes. I would have bought a quart. Highly recommended.
For our mains, we all chose some form of BBQ grilled beef. Myself and two others chose the 500g ribeye steak which came with either potatoes, salad or vegetables. We picked the potatoes, but they also brought us a side dish of vegetables. Nice touch. The steaks came exactly as ordered and perfectly seasoned. That steak might possibly be the best steak I’ve ever had, and I’m originally from Alberta which is known for its high quality beef. The potatoes were delicious small new potatoes, seasoned with rosemary. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. Everyone agreed.
Unable to finish what was on our plate, we all had to admit defeat and take home a box for later enjoyment.
We were all very full, but had to have, at least, a bite of their signature cheese cake. We ordered one slice with six forks and also six coffees. Again, spectacular.
We found the staff to be very responsive, very knowledgeable, and helped us understand and translate their menu. The meal is moderately priced, but very good value.
We will all be back sooner then later.....

Our hotel made us a reservation at 7 PM for an indoor table. The restaurant is a 15 minute taxi ride from Centro. On arrival we were pleased we asked for seating inside as it’s air conditioned and there was too much traffic noise on the patio. Smallish restaurant, room for about 30 inside and 20 on the patio. The interior has one wall of exposed brick and a large painting on the other, a bar across the back and full plate glass windows separating the patio. Very good seating arrangement, no TV and quiet background music. When we arrived, we were the first diners, By 8:30 all tables were taken.
The menu is small, mostly steaks with a nice choice of salads. We started with margaritas (good) and a tequila. The wine selection is compact with mostly Argentinean offerings in a various price range. For starters we ordered salads. The Barcina, La Boca & La Doce. All were large. The Barcina is a big plate of cherry tomato halves with diced cheese in a balsamic dressing, most enjoyable. The other two choices were also good. For mains the three of us ordered the 250 gram (the smallest) Bife de Lomo done medium. Excellent flavour, cooked perfectly, very tender and more than big enough. With the steaks we ordered the grilled vegetables, also cooked nicely.
The service was very friendly and good (limited English) but slowed a bit as the restaurant filled. One complaint was the mains arrived just after we started on the salads. We would have preferred one following the other. Dessert menu arrives after the main course is finished. We passed as the salad and main dishes were very filling. Washrooms clean, credit cards accepted. There is a back half of the restaurant that is used for large gatherings, a birthday celebration was happening the night of our visit.
Overall we enjoyed an excellent meal. The steak was the highlight and likely a good reason the restaurant rates so highly. We would eat here again and with a reservation.

We came here for lunch. Since our arrival the service was very kind!
We ordered the portobello mushrooms with goat cheese, that were good but Mayte a little bit over 'flavored'. The palmito salad was very good, with avocados and dry tomatoes, and the bife chorizo was amazing!!

We had a great time. Our 1.6 montes baby loved everything as well.

And the guava Pay my favorite!!!
