Our family, four adults, two teens & a 4 yr old, enjoyed a superb meal here, on the last evening of our holidays. Advisable to book, but not open until 5pm, so unable to get through on telephone, prior to that.
Lovely, tasty food. Well presented ny very pleasant staff. Would highly recommend.

If you want a good meal, get yourself here. We are staying in a holiday cottage in St Columb Major & after a fantastic day at the beach we decided to go out for our tea & here was our first port of call. Absolutely scrumptious & very hot, served by lovely people. We sat outside in the beer garden as we had our dog with us but I believe they are allowed in the restaurant area. Was very busy & looked like they did have a diary for bookings. Four of us dined & had four mains plus a round of drinks & came to £50, which is very good for what we had .... definitely be calling again at some point this week to try another meal off the menu .... thank you

This lovely, cosy restaurant cannot be beaten for value. We were shocked at how inexpensive the bill was, despite the high quality of food and generous portions. Lovely cosy atmospehere, staff very nice. We were especially grateful that the restaurant agreed to allow us to eat later than food is usually served as we were attending a classical music concert at the church across the road beforehand. Highly recommended!

My mother in law, father in law, husband and I have been to eat twice here and the food and waiting staff were amazing couldn't fault them in anyway .
However tonight the bar staff (who I think may have been the landlord and landlady) we're very rude .
We were told abruptly that "Thursday is very busy and you should normally book , it's steak night tonight "
Being that we live nearly 300 miles away of course we would know this information.
We asked for a glass of water half way through our meal and the (landlord I think ) brought it over but didn't actually say anything ( if he did he said it only loud enough for something with supersonic hearing) and just stood there looking at us hold a glass of water ...#awkward
The waitress we had tonight and a few nights before were amazing these ladies worked their little buts off can't praise them enough for their hard work .
Think the people behind the bar need to learn customer service from those who were serving .
( I work in the customer service industry so am well aware of what is good and bad service ) I give the food, atmosphere and waiting staff 5***** all the way .. the 2 people behind the bar this evening 2 ** ..needing improvement ..

Lovely food well recommend
