The apartment is simply furnished and clean and has all you need for a comfortable stay (including self catering facilities). The shared courtyard is a charming space with old olive trees and plenty of shared seating areas. The apartment we were given had an additional private seating area for al-fresco dining and we loved having our breakfast there in the morning. The courtyard also has the advantage of being gated so it's completely secure if you are there with small children. The location is on top of a small hill, just outside the village of Casteldaccia. The village itself, with small restaurants and supermarkets, and the local beaches are only a 5-10 minutes drive away. We spent most of our time day-tripping to nearby locations (Cefalu', Palermo, Monreale...) and found this to be a good starting point. All in all an enjoyable stay.
