Deshadan makes for a quiet, peaceful and a relaxing sojourn for solo travelers, families and couples. Located on the banks of backwaters about 60 km from Kochi airport , the place is well maintained, spacious and has a sprawling surroundings. Rooms are adequately maintained and are spacious and clean. Lake view rooms offer scenic views. The reception is well managed and Mr Santosh and Praveen are courteous, helpful and efficient. A very nice place to unwind and be amidst nature !

Stayed at Deshadan Backwater Resort for 1 night on 9th Feb '19.
It is a small peaceful resort bang on the lake.
View is spectacular. Property is decent. Rooms are average but comfortable.
Food is ok.
Overall a good place if you want to stay by the longest lake in India - Vembanad

The resort is in a delapited condition. The lack of proper maintenance is evident all around the property. The staffs are impervious to this situation. In my room, the wooden floor is broken, the sink in the bathroom is cracked. The bed is too small for a couple and the mattress is too soft and sub-quality standard. The hotel manager did nothing to rectify the situation. The bathroom towels are old, worn and not clean. The restaurant and its staff met our expectations.
I will recommend tourists to avoid this hotel at its present condition.
