Never thought I’d turn into one of those all-inclusive holiday people, but here we are. Kids change you, don’t they? This was our second trip to this place, and we liked it so much the first time, we booked a year in advance—helps paying it off over time, and something to look forward to during October half term. Safe to say, we’ll be back again next year.
The Good Bits
The Staff: Brilliant. Zechan, our cleaner, deserves a medal. Cleaned around our baby’s naps without flinching. Not even a sigh. What a pro.
The Omelette Queen: Ummu. A saint with a frying pan and patience of a Jedi dealing with people who’ve clearly left their manners at passport control.
Canday the Waiter: Taught our toddler some Turkish. Now the kid’s showing off at nursery saying "Merhaba!" like he owns the place.
Kids’ Club: Horses, crafts, smiles for miles. Our boy loved it so much, he practically walked himself there every morning.
The Buffet: Honestly, I’ve been to restaurants that were worse. So much choice! Forget the diet, pile it on, once your plate is clean, grab another, and another —you're on holiday!
The Not-So-Good Bits
Pools: The “heated” pools felt more like an ice bath. Swim-up pool? More like give-up pool. We shouldn't have to ask to turn the heating on, feels like the conversation we're having at home. They should be on in October, so when we arrive, we're jumping straight in.
Loungers: 7:30am, and it’s like Gladiators out there. People reserving loungers despite the rules, and suddenly, it’s towels at dawn. Ended up at the beach where things were much calmer.
Restaurants: What a faff! The booking system needs to be looked at. Last year, we got in every night. This year? Barely managed two, only got in after moaning to staff. Saw loads of empty tables too, which blew my mind. Surely there's a better way, to make sure all guests get in at least 3 times without stressing out at 9am every morning. Think it was easier to get Glasto tickets.
It’s not perfect, but it’s close.
Who knows, perhaps next year the booking system will have improved, and perhaps people are a little more considerate when it comes toThe personal touch of the WhatsApp before arrival was a nice touch—we asked for a specific room, and we got it. Kinda what you expect for a 5* all inclusive.
Next year, we'll ask for the pools to be heated the day we leave, so hopefully they're perfected heated when we arrive. And i'll be in training to battling for sunbeds like it’s an Olympic sport. 🏖️
