We had a wonderful 11 days vacation at Dreams. The staff was amazing and pleasant. Its a gorgeous resort with a beautiful view right when you walk in from the lobby , with an infinity pool and the ocean and the sky. It is breathtaking . The rooms were lovely and had everything you need.bed was super comfy and bathroom and showers were good. Very spacious rooms. Our view from the room was beautiful … House keepers do a very good job and our room was always super clean and mini bar was always restocked .Everyone working there loves their jobs and you can tell . Big shout out to Jonathan from the rendezvous bar . He would surprise us with refreshing drinks, he made amazing classic drinks too… he is very upbeat and we loved to hang out at the lobby bar because he made us the best drinks… You just tell him I need something to get rid of my headache or something sweet , or light and he is the perfect guy for it .. he is a pro and should move to management .. our expectations have been exceeded with this resort . Every person who was working at the resort there was just superb … we had a lot of favorite people . Special thanks to the ladies at the coco bar Emma and Nidia … always smiling and very friendly and would have my tea and icecream ready for me without having to tell them what i wanted … coco cafe always had yummy treats .. delicious lip smacking desserts. we tried all the restaurants and the food was too good including the room service food … portofino was our favorite restaurant… the waiter Jose was absolutely fantastic .. provided us with excellent food and five star service and remembered our order everytime we had gone there … would like to mention a few more names who were always so polite and always knew our food orders ..Elvis from seaside restaurant provided us with excellent service, we never had to wait in line .. he would make sure we were seated within 5 minutes …Irvin and victor from world cafe were another two favorite employees who made our mornings special with their wonderful attitude and victor made amaaazing omlettes …Luis from barefoot grill was very friendly and made sure we had plenty of snacks and drinks when we were at the cabanas. Special thanks to Erik from the front desk who made our stay extra special by going above and beyond our expectations to find us a last minute baby sitter so my husband and i could have our special lunch date. Every employee here is fabulous. We were always greeted by a happy employee from early morning till late night… i am so amazed with this resort that we will definitely go back again soon . Every person working here has made our trip enjoyable and memorable… cant wait to go back to the amazing infinity pool and the yummy food and the great 7 star customer service. This trip was just what we wanted it to be … excellent :)
We did not have any negative experiences during our entire 11 day stay.

Marcos was the most amazing person to interact with. His good attitude and energy made our trip just perfect. If you could have a model for the perfect employee; Marcos would be the one to set the standard. We hope to see Marcos each year that we visit. Words cannot describe how much of a pleasure it is to meet him.

Lalo, Martin, and Ezekiel were such a pleasure to work with. We didn’t get to spend as much time with them. But they made our experience so good. We are grateful to have interacted with them.

A few friends and I stayed here for 4 nights, 5 days July 2021.

Check-in:
The check-in process could have been more through. There was a lot of information we felt like we should have been told ( for ex. We didn’t know about about the times different restaurants were open and we didn’t realize that we only had access to well drinks, and could upgrade to their premier for a fee).

Friends trip experience:
This place is definitely more of a family or relaxation vibe. Not really a place to party. It’s also pretty far from downtown. We enjoyed the two pools (the adult one and family one), which both had swim up bars. They only had an event one night while we were there. It was a Mexican theme and it was beautiful! Wish they would have had more.

Restaurants/Food:
Food was okay. They don’t change the menus. They had one restaurant open for breakfast, so we got tired of breakfast options by the last day. They also had limited lunch options, and theres a gap between lunch and dinner where they close for food service. There were four restaurants open for dinner.

Service:
They are beyond understaffed. Fri-Sun, wait times for restaurants was anywhere from 45 min to an hr and a half. They took forever to bring silverware, drinks, the food, etc. I felt bad for the staff because they tried their best, but it was beyond frustrating. Tipping is also an expectation, which is typical at any resort. Other than at the restaurants, staff were friendly and helpful. They were very attentive in all other areas of the resort.

Rooms:
You can hear everything! We heard our neighbors full conversations, and you can hear everything going on outside of the rooms also.

Covid:
They offer covid testing on site for free, and scheduling is easy. Your results are available quickly. They print out your results by the end of the same day so that you can have it ready for the airport. Masks are still required everywhere unless you’re in the pool or eating.
They also close their restaurants and bars EARLY (I think 10 pm) due to Covid, which we didn’t know about but quickly learned. After a certain time, they also stopped serving alcohol and only have beers or wine. Upgrading to premier for better alcohol felt like a rip off because of this.

Overall, the hotel is okay. I would consider this more of a 4 star or a 3.5 star hotel.

We had a great time, the kids had a wonderful time. Great service and attitude from the staff at coco cafe. This place is packed most of the time because they have great snacks and crepes.
For sure we will come back!

50 minute swedish massage with Lupita was amazing! Totally worth the money spent. I get massages often and this was the best I’ve ever had. She did a great job of hitting every spot, it truly was a full body massage
