We stayed in #3103. The view was fantastic! We were on the 1st floor right in the middle of the closest building of the condos to the beach. (I think there are three buildings to the condo and I would definitely stay at that building for the best views.) The only thing between us and the beach was a beautiful pool. When we walked into the place for the first time, the large windows looking out to the pool and beach was absolutely beautiful. A wonderful large patio with a small little grass yard and beautiful flowers is just a sliding glass door away.

The waves (at least when WE were there) were HIUGE! There is no way someone could get in the water beyond feet level, perhaps knee level, but I wouldn't count on it. We got in over our ankles and it was hard to stand our ground. But, sitting on our patio, you could hear the thunderous waves and I loved it. I could sit and watch those huge waves come in over and over. The power of the waves was mesmerizing. The beach was empty except for ppl walking dogs or jogging and a few times wind surfing/skiing (not sure what you call it).

We drove to Cabo San Lucas almost every day (the drive isn't bad at all--20/30 mins), but loved getting away to a more calm and relaxing atmosphere, especially at this condo and it's location.

If you stay in San Jose del Cabo (as opposed to Cabo San Lucas, although you could drive from there) you should definitely go to Flora Farms. It's a must do. Gorgeous grounds, live music, good food that is grown right on the property. Loved it.

We had a great time. Have fun!

It's a lovely condo complex that we have been visiting for 15 years. Historically very family friendly. They have a new security group which is unfortunately very unfriendly. We had a large group of family and friends. When one of our guests jumped into the pool off of a small footbridge over the pool (which was admittedly against a rule), he was threatened with a fine and being EVICTED. A couple of our kids were playing in the pool with a ball, nowhere near anyone and they were told that they weren't allowed to play in the pool. The security guards would sit and stare at them which was extremely uncomfortable for them. These were nice kids having reasonable fun. It made us feel very unwelcome and certainly was not family friendly. It seems that some of the residents use the security guards as their own little police force so that nobody could enjoy themselves as the would at any pool anywhere.

We just spent a week on the beach at Las Mananitas and had a fantastic time. The key to these condos is to pick the right unit - We had 2B right on the beach and loved it. We watched the whales from our balcony and had a great view of all the beach had to offer. The unit was clean and totally equipped. The buildings in the back are close to the highway and have obstructed views. There is a great grocery store and shops nearby. We are already looking into when we can return!

This is a nice resort on the edge of San Jose... right on the highway...
BUT.....Only a few buildings are actually on the ocean. Most of the buildings are off the ocean and the resort runs up to the highway... be careful of what unit you rent and where it is in on the property.... there is also an abandon condo complex next door... so be careful....

The unit we had was nice enough... pools and fitness center nice enough... beach was nice... but if you are not in one of the front buildings, all you have is a peak-a-boo view of the ocean between buildings... all in all, better places to stay...

This was our second year in a row staying at Las Mananitas. The grounds are meticulously kept, pools and bbq's are great. We stayed in tower 3 closet to Club Fonatour, which is a private owners club that holds parties that can go on until the sun comes up! This year we only had to deal with it on 2 occasions. We were there from Oct. to mid December. The weather was gorgeous every single day. Walk across the street to La Comer (used to be called Mega) same great place for all your grocery needs. Restaurants are walking distance. We never rented a car and walked or took the transit bus, which was right across the highway which is in front of Las Mananitas, you do hear the highway traffic. After week one we really didn't pay much attention to it unless a fire truck or ambulance was racing down the highway.
The beach is right in front of the condos, so we took advantage of that and walked the beach every single day!
