Let me start by saying the view was great, as was the weather. When we made reservations the owner told us there was a hot tub on the balcony, which was a main factor in renting this condo. We had decided to rent the owner's personal vehicle for an agreed-upon amount. The place offered a pool and beachfront for quick access to the beach. It also had a washer and dryer, which was great because we had to wash our own sheets and towels. There was grocery shopping nearby, and a couple of fast food places. All the things we were looking for. When we arrived the "concierge" was nowhere to be found, so we had no idea where the place was, until we found a groundskeeper to show us. When we arrived at the room we noticed the hot tub was empty, and later when we asked Kevin about it, he said it had not been working in months. There was access to the beach, but warned not to go into the water. Fine, we decided to go to the pool. The pool temp was so cold we couldn't swim in it, and when one of the residents complained about it, she was told there was nothing they could (or more accurately, would) do about it. The vehicle we rented from the owner wasn't used the whole week we were there. We found it more convenient to cab everywhere, which also helped us in getting locals' suggestions on great places to eat and grocery shop. The day before leaving, Kevin, the "concierge," asked for the keys to the vehicle so he could wash it and fill it with gas, and offered to drive us to the airport the next day. We called the number on the business card he gave us to give him the time of our flight, but he did not answer or return our calls. He never showed up the next day. So not only did we have to pay for a cab to the airport, but was not reimbursed for those two days he used the vehicle. No, it's not the money we were out, but more the feeling of being duped. We are planning on returning to San Jose del Cabo, but will not stay in Las Maninitas.

We rented a 3 Bedroom / 3 Bathroom condo on vrbo. It turned out to be a great choice! The location cannot be beat if you do not have a car. It is walking distance to the local bus that takes you into San Jose del Cabo. The Mega store and a few restaurants are within walking distance. The attendants at the gate were always helpful and would call a taxi if needed. The property was beautiful and well maintained. We were a group of six women and all felt safe. Maybe the only downside is the absence of beach chairs on the beach. My guess is that condo owners provide if they choose to do so. I hope to visit again and Las Mananitas would be top of my list.

We spent a week at Las Mananitas, Unit #208, and it was a great find. The location -- in the earliest and oceanfront building of the complex -- was closest to the gorgeous beach and right behind the pools. It was quiet and lovely, whereas we had heard that the buildings farther back were noisy due to traffic on the nearby roads. The 3-bedroom unit was well equipped and with lovely furnishings and a spacious balcony overlooking the pool. The sound of crashing surf was wonderful at night. The outside grounds were beautifully manicured and the pools and hot tub pristine. There was great security on the property. The giant "Mega" store was really close by and offered anything we needed. The only negative was that while the beach there was magnificent, it wasn't good for swimming due to very strong surf and undertow. We did go to more sheltered beaches for ocean swimming. This is simply a wonderful spot for a family vacation!

We just got back from a very nice stay at Las Maninitas room 3503. We have stayed all over Mexico and this place was FANTASTIC! The condo decor was beautiful. The 2 master bedrooms were very roomy and the open concept living room opened up even bigger as the main wall opened up to a AWASOME view of the Sea Of Cortez! The removable wall was our favorite thing the terrace was well furnished from the 5th floor. You can see EVERYTHING Including whales and dolphins! Las Maninitas worked every day on keeping the the grounds up which include 3 pools and hot tubs were immaculate! Shopping, restaurants and night light within walking. Makes this a GREAT PLACE to get away and relax.

After wintering for a decade in Los Cabos, particularly in Las Mananitas (crown jewel on the Costa Azul beach), our most recent stay was not only a horrific experience but we checked out after only 5 days due to management, or lack thereof, having paid for three full weeks. IT WAS THAT BAD! Stayed in Las Mananitas 3205. This condo needs TLC and was falsely advertised by CaboHomesandCondos.com when we originally booked on November 12, 2015. (see photo)

For starters, the unit has no ‘flat screen’ (all CRT old units). No..you do not get cable (DISH TV) as advertised. The television in the living room gets 3 channels, (CNN, AMC and some other obscure channel one would never watch). The master TV unit does not offer even those stations. The 2nd bedroom unit is non-operational. Period.

There is no ironing board available so what good is the iron? The hairdryer in the 2nd bedroom is non operational. There is also no safe for storage of important documents.

There were bed sheets in the dryer when we arrived (see photo), the floors had not been swept, much less mopped, and sand was actually found on TOP of the master bedspread. The patio furniture was not clean, particularly the glass top tables. There were ashes and rings from cups/glasses. It was gross.

Upon arrival we noticed an ‘insect’ problem and phoned CaboHomesandCondos. A female apparently was screening her calls bc midway through the message she chose to pick up the phone and SCREAM at me the following “THE OWNERS JUST LEFT! THERE IS NO BUG PROBLEM! IF YOU DONT HAVE TV..TOO BAD..THIS IS MEXICO!” We informed her if these issues were not addressed we would need to make alternative arrangements after having paid for a full three week stay. Her response: "GOOD!” Unprofessional, unresponsive and RUDE does not begin to describe this experience.
No actions were taken to remedy these issues and we departed the condo after only 5 days.

Let me be clear...we LOVE Las Mananitas. Having wintered there for a decade in various units we know what to expect when ‘cable’ is advertised. We paid a ‘cleaning fee’ which apparently was either not paid by previous tenants/owner or CaboHomesandCondos is just keeping the fee without hiring the work done. Either way..the condo had not been cleaned prior to our arrival.

Regarding the ‘insect’ issue. Upon arrival there was a blue bag (CaboHomesandCondos) which contained a blue frisbee, notepad and pen, two water bottles wrapped in blue koozies and a handful of peppermints (see photo). Although speculative it is possible the insects were brought into the condo in the peppermints. (see photo). Gross. We did not use or keep anything in the blue bag and immediately disposed of its contents.

I have written reviews in the past on Las Mananitas, all of which were glowing. The complex itself is AMAZING. The location on the beach is more than convenient, the staff on the premises are beyond helpful and the property is manicured with perfection. The security is second to none. Las Mananitas amenities are more than you will get with nearby or competing condos and/or resorts. The salt water pool is especially nice, the barbecue and common areas are cleaned to perfection every evening.

My complaint is with this management company regarding this particular unit. Worst in the complex - needs TLC - not as advertised. Management is unprofessional, non-responsive, unwilling to assist with legitimate complaints and their representative is clearly an uneducated ’SCREAMER’. So while I give Las Mananitas my highest recommendation, if you find any condo or home managed by CABOHOMESANDSCONDOS.COM do not trust the experience or the advertisement.
BEWARE!

I will attempt to contact the owners directly as I doubt they are aware the basic services offered through a management company are not being met - not even cleaning the unit prior to our arrival.

Room Tip: Las Mananitas best complex. This unit needs TLC & property mgr is unprofessional, uneducated, non-responsive and RUDE. Worst.Unit.Ever.
