We love this resort and will continue to make this our resort of choice when visiting Cabo. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The "extras" are the little things we look forward to: In room snacks and fresh fruit daily.

We’ve always found One & Only Resorts to be superb & this hotel is no exception - the Palmilla is simply stunning. The extensive grounds are lush & immaculately groomed & the views over the Sea of Cortez idyllic. The entire property is beyond pristine & it is immediately evident that standards are set very high, as is the staff to guest ratio. Our Oceanfront Pool Suite was spacious, private, & beautifully designed, these rooms enjoy a seaview terrace & small plunge pool. We were assigned a butler who provided some handy ironing services upon arrival but aside from that we had little further contact. Staff across the resort were exceptionally polite & well trained - each & every one acknowledges you without fail & goes above & beyond to please. I’d go as far as to say that service tops that of anywhere we’ve stayed. The hotel has 4 restaurants, all upscale & elegant. All are expensive & ‘Seared’ by Jean-Georges Vongerichten exorbitantly so with entrees averaging $90 before sides & service. Odd dishes were outstanding, superb foie gras in Seared, stunning tuna tartar in Agua, but on the whole we weren’t wowed by the food & none of the 4 left us feeling we couldn’t wait to return, indeed many meals were plain average. Disappointing food & such wildly inflated pricing is my sole reason for giving 4 stars, in every other way this resort is 5 star & beyond but after 8 nights here the disparity between food enjoyment & cost began to grate. The Chief Concierge is a class act & gave valuable recommendations for outside dining. San Jose is around 10 minutes drive, Cabo San Lucas around 25 minutes. The hotel doesn’t offer a complimentary shuttle & a taxi costs around $40 & $80 respectively for the return trip. San Jose has some charm but San Lucas is God awful - a tacky, downmarket tourist trap, there really is little reason to go there.

I had a problem receiving emails during my stay & a technician was with me within minutes, & a solution soon after that. Impressive. Service really is unsurpassed here.

The only slight fail we had is that in-room teabags & cups weren’t always replaced & it was necessary to call to request them several times.

The Palmilla has 2 pools with 1 kept exclusively for adults. Both are equally desirable & serene, you’d struggle to guess which was the kid friendly pool. There was never more then a handful of children around despite it being half term. Excellent drinks service at both & nice touches like complimentary foot massages & sunglasses cleaning. The beach is public but The Palmilla’s stretch is respectfully reserved. Pelican Beach is the livelier end with various complimentary non-motorised water sports, Turtle Beach is calm & quiet. As with the rest of the resort, the beach is immaculately kept.

The gym is well equipped & staffed, perfectly air-conned & scenic. Almost a pleasure to spend time in! Various complimentary yoga & bootcamp classes are offered. The tennis courts are located around 15 mins golf buggy drive away, as are the golf courses.

To sum up, a truly stunning resort offering luxurious accommodation & superb service. We had a great stay, but better food & less avaricious pricing would have made it perfect.

A friend and I needed to get away and relax - One&Only Palmilla was exactly what we needed! Before arriving, we were able to book spa treatments, restaurant reservations and transport to and from the resort. We were greeted upon arrival and instead of checking in at a front desk we were taken directly to our rooms. I think this is a great way to arrive for a vacation! No wasted time. The adult pool is serene and the knee bolsters on the lounge chairs are an excellent touch to get completely comfortable. They also offer foot massages by the pool. Make sure to sign up early if the resort is busy since they fill up fast. The first night, I unfortunately had noisy neighbors. The next morning, Paul the resort assistant manager made sure I was moved. It took no time at all. The staff moved all of my things and Paul personally came by the pool while we were relaxing to give me my new room key. Incredible service! The rooms are well appointed and the turn down service with the candles is a great way to end the evening and unwind. The spa is wonderful - both my friend and I had great massages in private suites. We also enjoyed both Seared and Suviche for dinner. At Seared, we had the most incredible soufflé. It was a roasted corn soufflé and probably one of the best soufflés I have ever had. The staff at this resort truly go out of their way to make sure you feel welcome and are there to assist with anything. At the pool, Cesar and Manuel took care of our lunches and drinks by the pool everyday. Wilbert and Jose our butlers made sure we had everything we needed. A truly relaxing vacation. One&Only is an great resort with amazing service.

My wife and I celebrated our 16th anniversary at the One&Only Palmilla and had a wonderful time. We can't wait to return. It is one of those honeymoon-type hotels we had heard about but never had the chance to visit. The hotel is beautifully designed and landscaped, and has a stunning location on the ocean with beaches and cliffs surrounding it. We stayed in a Palmilla Ocean Front room which was one of the more basic room types but was still the size of a suite and very luxurious. The staff is very attentive, friendly, and accommodating. We had a staff member (our butlers Jacob and Victor) serving our building and available to help schedule any meals or provide anything else we needed such as additional snacks or dry cleaning. The gym and spa facility was first rate - newer clean exercise equipment in an air conditioned setting with free exercise or yoga classes offered throughout the day. The spa provided both spa services for a fee and a free men's and women's locker room with steam room, sauna, and both hot and cool pools. Staff members Hugo and Miguel in the gym, and Reyes in the men's locker room were all great hosts. The concierge staff (Omar) helped schedule a dinner for us in town one night in San Jose del Cabo which was a ten minute taxi ride away. The pool attendant staff (Jesus, Jose, Joaquin, Manuel, Eduardo and Guadelupe) and pool wait staff (Carlos, Gilberto, Miguel and Cesar) took great care of us. The food and drinks were wonderful. The pool concierge Adriana helped schedule complimentary foot massages for us by massage therapists from the spa every day by the pool. We spent one day at the Pelican Beach next to the hotel where my wife checked out a stand up paddle board. The other two days we sat by the pool. There are beautiful views everywhere you look. Alexa with customer care and Elizabeth in the hotel shop were both very helpful with our requests. The three restaurants at the hotel are excellent. A sushi place, a steakhouse and a contemporary Mexican restaurant. October was a great time to travel and we had perfect 80 degree weather. The hotel staff released baby sea turtles with the guests one evening on the beach at sunset which they had collected for safe keeping earlier that morning. The hotel is located in between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. It is about a half hour drive to the tourist center in Cabo San Lucas which discouraged us from visiting the town because we were enjoying the hotel too much. San Jose del Cabo is much closer at only ten minutes. The airport at Los Cabos is twenty minutes away. The food and drinks were a little more expensive than we were used to, even for a fancy resort, so be aware that you may pay a lot for food and drinks while you are there. My one request to help expedite our return to the hotel is to lower the prices for food and drinks a little.

We travel a lot, we stayed in many amazing hotels, but this one - it is something else. The moment you step on the grounds - everything is beyond beautuful - rooms, beach, pools, greenery. But what makes it different and better are definitely people - they are so nice, they remember even small things and anticipate everything you might need, they do it with a smile and nice words and never show you might be unreasonable or wrong. Andres from the reception, out two butlers, Jorge from the children’s pool - our son wants to move to Mexico because of him !), Ingrid from Kid’s club, David from Agua, beautiful lady from Agua who also has a 6 year old and many, many more - thank you for our amazing holiday. And the food - OMG - usually even the best hotels do not manage to provide a good standard for in room dining or beach dining - but here , wherever you eat - it is simply great. It is expensive and we were lucky enough that the hotel was not busy at the time of our stay - but still....we are really hoping to visit again.
