I will go back in an instant. I went with my Niece and her 5 year old twins. We stayed for a week in January 2011. The hotel offered pretty much what we expected but it was nicer than we thought it would be. Compared to what other hotels charge in this area.....what are the complaints about. If you read the bad reviews and still go.....hello! Next time you go somewhere, pay big bucks and don't complain. Mind you, I hear bad reviews about 5 star hotels as well.
The temperature at night dips and makes you feel chilly. Be prepared with a warm sweater or jacket. Daytime temp. was nice. Was not humid at all.
We found the food to be quite good, this is Mexico not Canada or the states. Our room was great.
This is the type of place you would go for a rest. No loud music. We found all of the staff to be very kind, polite and willing to help however they could. Not really any activities. There is a nice long beach where you can walk for miles. The ocean is very dangerous for children and adults alike. A couple of Canadians drown here February 2011. Do yourself a favour and stick to the pool.
We went horseback riding on the beach a few times-if you can ride well they will let you gallop.
Don't get a henna tatoo. Many people have adverse allergic reactions to them. One of our five year olds had a reaction that did not start until a week after we got home and after 3 weeks needed to see a doctor. There is a chemical in the black henna that is very dangerous, please beware.
Overall a great holiday. Can't wait to do it again.
My word of advice-if you are an elite traveller and you are picky don't go hear because I am sure you will find something to complain about.

All I can say is the food is nauseating. I got sick my first day there. If you want to have excellent all inclusive service, go somewhere else. If you really want to stay there and you have a rental car or your own means of transportation, then I strongly recommend you do not eat at the restaurant buffets. Be warned!

We checked in at 2 pm on a Monday. By 5 pm we were callin itravel to change resorts. The first room they gave us was ground floor with a view ofthe wall of the resort next door. The second room was dirty and had no fridge. The third was better but still overall grimy and gross. The restaurant by the pool was ok but not great. The drink service was slow, often 15 minutes or more from ordering a drink to it arriving at the table. Dinner buffet was disgusting. It had wilted salad and 4 other items that were all cold (supposed to be hot) and a few Safeway cakes for desert. We ended up having to stay one night. We went to the only bar that was open (in the lobby) and at 11 when they apparently closed, the bartender locked up the drinks, turned off the lights and walked away while we sitting right at the bar. The next morning we got moved down to the presidente down the beach and it was way better! The only positive thing at the posada was that they didn't try to charge us a fee to check out 6 days early. Overall awful! I can't believe people pay money and stay here and go back more than once, I wouldn't go back if it was the only resort in Mexico!

We stayed for one week at the Posada Real.Everyday we were more impressed with this hotel.Any problems we had were taken care of instantly. We requesred a safe key and an iron which they gave us at no charge. We asked for a late check out (3pm) again no charge.
The buffet seemed rather small when we first arrived, but had awesome food.Everybody we talked to were impressed with the staff and the food. The staff are amazing, they will go out of their way to make sure you're happy.Roberto is great,he'll tell you how to get around in Los Cabos and the best places to go and where not to go because it would be a waste of time and money.By the way Los cabos is completly safe day or night.Because the town relies on tourism they seem to give tourists the red carpet treatment.
Benito works at the beach and pool area.He will come around about every 15 minutes to see if you need any food or drinks, which he brings to you.
In the buffet the waiters are always there to bring you drinks and coffee.
The maids do a great job of keeping the rooms clean.
The pool and beach are very clean as is the rest of the hotel
We heard that there is a strong undertow so unless you're a good swimmer you are urged not to swim in the ocean.
We have been to a lot of all inclusives over the years ,ranging from 3 to 5 star and this is best vacation we've had,I would rate this a 4 to 5 star.
So if you can do without the lobster and the shrimp and the a la carte restaurants you'll have a great relaxing vacation here.
