You are always welcomed at CLWB TROPICANA INN. What impresses us so much are the friendly staff, the great food selection that is reasonably priced, fresh fish, great BBQ Ribs! And.. The clean Mexican style rooms with very comfy beds! Oh..say hi to PACO by reception, everyone' favourite parrot. Centrally located in dt San Jose, walk to great local cuisine &.. Baja Brewing.. Yes!

I have stayed at the Tropicana a few times over the years but this time was the best...
The beds are great, linens new and decor has been updated...
The staff were ALL friendly and so helpful...
I thought it was great value for the money....and it has a special price for locals including breakfast where you can sit out front and people watch...
There is always music coming from somewhere and the overall experience was great!.......We had a problem with our car getting stuck going in as we turned and went over the edge and the head of security there, Luis was super helpful by first getting a crew together to try and get us off the high centre point and when it wasn't possible, he called a two truck which was there in a very short time and rescued our vehicle unscathered....I really do recommend this place and it does have a heated pool in the winter months which most hotels in the area do not....

Room Tip: We liked the ground floor because we didn't want to take our luggage up to second floor

Had breakfast there. The menu has a decent selection of dishes, the food came reasonably quickly, was very good and ample proportions plus the staff were friendly and efficient as well as most spoke English if Spanish is an issue for you.

My only criticism is that the prices are relatively higher compared to other Mexican restaurants but having said that it was usually frequented by a decent crowd of people from the USA/Canada.

Thank you for your review. We are quite comparable to other restaurants in the area; for the quality & portions, we are number 1. See you again, we do have a loyal following with all our neighbours to the North..

Fun evening at the Tropicana! Great guacamole and salsa plus drinks. The Caesar Salad was a good show - made at the table. We ate on the front patio where a happy surprise musical group appeared with their guitars! What a fun night was had by all!

Really enjoyed staying here, a great location right in downtown San Jose del Cabo. Lots of good restaurants and shops near by, I like this place because it feels more local than the big resorts. They offer yoga on Saturday mornings as well for free, really loved it as well as the well kept courtyard and pool.
