We visited Le Blanc Los Cabos for our first vacation in two years. We could not have chosen a better place for a relaxing and romantic Adults-Only getaway. From the moment we arrived and were treated to hot towels and a cooling welcome drink, we were pampered for every minute of our stay. The weather in late December was also perfect, about 28 C and sunny every day.
The owners of this resort have clearly put tremendous thought into what makes a vacation feel luxurious for their guests, and it shows. Beyond the stunning grounds, insanely gorgeous rooms, and the amazing food, which is far and away the best we've ever experienced at an all-inclusive resort, everything is kept spotlessly clean, and the staff are all incredibly polite, helpful, and friendly. I could go on for days about all of the amazing amenities, but here were our favorite features:
HIGHLIGHTS:
Spa Massage - I had an incredible massage from the wonderful Liliana, who is very talented at her job, and has a lovely personality. If I ever return to this resort, I will ask for her by name. The hydrotherapy journey I did before the massage (included with the service), complete with sauna, steam room, and heated rock beds (camas calientes), also helped to melt away sore muscles.
Day Sailing Excursion - We did this excursion midway through our stay, and it was a steal for the price. It included...We visited Le Blanc Los Cabos for our first vacation in two years. Day Sailing Excursion - We did this excursion midway through our stay, and it was a steal for the price. It included a full morning of sailing in the Sea of Cortez, after which we jumped off the boat and went snorkeling at a sheltered reef. Swimming among the schools of colorful fish, in the warm sea water, was the experience of a lifetime for me. We were provided a yummy lunch and many cocktails on the boat, and on the way back, were lucky enough to come upon a pair of breaching whales, which we stopped and watched for half an hour. We had a full day of fun, and were back at the hotel (via an included shuttle trip from the marina) around 3 pm.
Horseback Riding on the Beach - My husband surprised me with this as a gift on Christmas morning. Pedro was our gracious guide, and we had a lovely half hour walking and trotting the horses in and out of the surf.
Blanc Fire Bar - The bartenders at this gorgeous outdoor bar overlooking the pools and ocean are a whiz with cocktails. We loved the signature spicy margaritas, but once I found out they made killer martinis, that was it for me. The bar area is beautiful, featuring fire tables, swinging couches, and deeply comfortable lounges. There was live music here every day of our stay in the late afternoon, too.
24/7 Room Service - A full 24/7 room service menu was included in the price of our stay, and we certainly took advantage. We ordered in breakfast to our room most mornings, and did a few midnight burger orders, too. I've never experienced such speedy room service -- it always came within 20 minutes, at any time of day - and the food was great. It really put the "included" in all-inclusive!
Infinity Pool - This was our hangout of choice during the day, though we also did a few long walks down the beautiful white sand beach. All the poolside servers were great, but we got especially amazing service from Jesus and Miguel, who were a delight to get to know. Even on days when we slept in late, they were always able to find us a couple of loungers close to the pool, and kept the drinks and food coming all day, with a friendly smile. We noticed comfy looking couches and chairs set up on the beach, too, though we didn't use these during our stay, as the ocean is too rough to be swimmable in Los Cabos, and we wanted to stick by the pool.
NEGATIVES:
Unsolicited Sales Pitches - The only negative for us about this resort was their sales tactics -- particularly the sales pitch we got on our way out of the resort. While waiting for our airport transportation, we were cornered by a staff member with an iPad, who pushed us to purchase a future trip to Le Blanc, and expected us to decide this (and pay) on the spot. While I understand that the resort needs to promote itself, this exit attack came as an unwelcome surprise, and seemed off-brand for what calls itself a "luxury" resort. They may want to rethink this practice, as it left us with a not-great final impression, after an otherwise amazing trip. We had already been given a brief sales pitch on entering the resort, and someone even called our room the next day to try to get us to a sales meeting (which we politely declined), so by the time we were leaving, we didn't want to hear it anymore, having already said "no" twice.More
