This is our 3rd visit to a Grand Velas property, and after having such a wonderful time at Riviera Nayarit (our 1st visit) and the Riviera Maya (our 2nd visit), we were very excited to explore the newest, Los Cabos location. We had an absolutely terrific time - from the restaurants, to the Kids Club, to the service, everything was fantastic and we are so happy to have visited. There were a few individuals that made our trip truly exceptional, and if you have a chance to work with them, please do so. Specifically, our concierge Guadalupe was so diligent and proactive, and took care of EVERYTHING for us (sometimes without even having to ask). The pool concierge Hugo (a ball of energy and greeted each family member by name every morning) and server Angel (who kept the food and drinks coming) made each day by the pool highly enjoyable. Finally, the Kids Club staff and babysitters - Karla, Joyce, Eunice, Selin, Samantha and Andrea - were all so amazing with our kids (and 1 year old) and took such great care of them. Wonderful staff members like them are the reason we keep coming back to the Grand Velas.

If I'm honest, however, my wife and I felt that there was a very slight difference between our experience here versus the other 2 locations. It was little things like the occasional less-than-effusive staff member, the used plates and cocktail glass sitting outside the playground for 2 days, or even the rushed & unorganized mixology class (the instructor was confused on the starting time). I'm not sure if this was because our visit here occurred during COVID (which understandably has created operational issues for everyone in hospitality) or there's another reason. And frankly, I don't think we would have noted these examples at any other resort....but because our prior experiences at Grand Velas have been so flawless, they did stand out a bit to us this visit.

In the grand scheme of things, however, we were extremely happy to have visited. And more importantly, would gladly welcome an opportunity to return again in the future.

As the director, I truly appreciate those detailed observations that you mentioned. Although I consider them to be isolated moments, I do expect better of my team at all times, and going forward, you have our commitment to make your next visit to Grand Velas a 100% flawless experience.

Fantastic first time stay over the President's Day weekend. The staff is what makes the place matchless. Special mentions: Astrid, who as our personal concierge took great care of us and ran down the one unsatisfactory experience (an outside sailing company) and got us a refund; Carlos, who took excellent care of us poolside; Alondra, who brought us off menu huevos rancheros at Azul; the entire Cocina de Autor team; the head chef of Frida, who produced an entire vegetarian meal for us off menu; Freddy, who created memorable experiences for our children at Frida two nights in a row; Maxime, who bookended our experience with attentive care to our luggage. Great experience!

We stayed at Grand Velas and specifically wanted to recognize 3 of the staff members who went above and beyond for our trip! Highly recommend requesting their service:
1. Rubin R. - pool side service for us everyday. He remembered our specific requests, and brought items out before we even asked. For two days, they were out of fresh coconut drinks, but Rubin went out of his way to find one for us!
2. Maxime (Max) - baggage area but he is a rockstar. He is so professional, polite and welcoming. We had an incident come up and Max made sure everything went smoothly!
3. Jordin R (Lucca Restaurant) - amazing service, and made us feel welcomed every time. We made this trip with our little son, and he made sure to bring out his meal quickly because he knows how it is to travel with kids.

We have been to Grand Velas a few times but it seems that each time it just keeps becoming a more and more of an elevated experience. Where should I start other than imagine the concept of heaven where everything is there to support you! The views are sublime, the rooms are so well appointed with great spaciousness, lots of well designed cabinets and a designated spot for everything! Balconies and bathrooms with partitions that open to views!
Food is truly impeccable for any restaurant or hotel but for an all inclusive resort, this is unheard of. No watered down drinks, no sloppy stewed foods but refined and innovative restaurants.
The spa facility is a must, this is at an extra charge but it’s the icing on the top and a true experience.
All the staff from the first moment to the last were truly delightfully mannered , helpful and well integrated as part of a team that did not fail you!
Heaven is here and you don’t have to wait!

We went to Grand Velas Los Cabos with our three kids who are five and six years old. We had been previously been to the grand Velas at Riviera Nayarit and had really enjoyed it. However the grand Velas in Los Cabos absolutely blew us away. The food was superior to any four seasons hotel I had been to. The service was stellar, the hotel was clean, well-maintained and brand new. The kids really enjoyed the kids club. We had an absolutely great vacation and would highly recommend this hotel and will be returning.
