“Amazing!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 April 2012

Cabos Villas is an amazing resort that my family has visited for the third time in March 2012. It is a very diverse area welcoming families, spring breakers, honeymooners, etc. There is something for everyone there! We had an amazing time. Franko hooked us up with two fishing boats that we enjoyed while we caught a yellowtail tuna, mako shark, and a marlin!! He made sure that everything was as we expected and top notch.

The location of Cabos Villas is very good, within a 5 minute walk to the center!

The Baja Catina Beach is where we had our more fun! Leopolo kept us laughing the whole time and catered to our every want and need. We continued to go back everyday/night because of the friendly staff, great service, amazing food, and breathtaking beach setting. Every food/drink suggestion that Leopolo made was right on target!! It was as if the beach staff were family. Romiro (known as the captain), Guillermo (the manager), Gerardo, Javier (the chef), Adrian, Christian, Freddy, and Pedro continuously made our stay welcoming and unforgettable! You have to check out the dinners, fun shows, and activities they have on the beach during the night for the full experience.

Kick back, relax, and enjoy yourself at the wonderful place! You won't regret it.

Room Tip: Ask for the ocean view!!

We have actually stayed at this hotel before and thought it was pretty good but last time and this time it seems their only focus was to get us into a time share presentation. They actually held the room we had asked for HOSTAGE. We had confirmend and paid for a specific area of the hotel three months earlier (they held our money for 3 months) and told us when we arrived it would not be available unless we did a time share presentation. When I told them I wanted to just leave and go someplace else they reminded me (a very disagreeable front manager) that I would be subject to their cancellation policy. Then she told me that we would be able to change our room in two days this was a complete lie because we never heard from them again. The worst part was they did not care one way or another about our stay, I am sorry to say they acted like a third world country, get what they get and not care about tomorrow. I WOULD JUST WARN WHO EVER DECIDES TO GO THERE TO BE CAREFUL ON WHAT THEY PROMISE.

Room Tip: South bldg above the third floor. Bay suites are not good because the bathroomis in the bedroom.

We had a pleasant week here. The room was very nice, and the place was clean and the staff very friendly. The resort is right in the heart of Medano Beach, just beside the Mango Deck, which is hopping during Spring Break. But the resort was pretty quiet. They have nice pools. I didn't like the access to the beach, as you had to go through the restaurants to get to the beach, but it was a minor inconvenience. Everything you could want in terms of dining and beach and water sports is a couple of minutes away. We did this as an RCI exchange and it was excellent value. If you were paying cash up front, it's pretty expensive. Good resort!

Room Tip: Our room didn't have an ocean view, so ask for that if you can.

We stayed at this resort and loved the location. This is another resort we traded for through RCI. It was walking distance to the Marina. We always felt safe walking back and forth. It also had access to the beach. I would definitely go back to this hotel.

Cabo Villas gets worse and worse each time we stay here. This is our third time here and it is becoming more and more trashy as the days go by. First, a lady had her approx two year old son in the hot tub without any clothes on (yes, he was butt naked) and after telling security the guy just laughed and did nothing about it. Second, we saw a semi-pornographic show in the hot tub one night which moved all around the entire pool area. Two couples were practically having sex in the hot tub and on the chairs near the pool area and security again did nothing about it. They must be afraid to do their jobs and keep the place a classy and clean area.
Along with that, they need to do a better job and have a better system as to what to do with people saving chairs on the beach. When there are 30 chairs covered with towels and no one showing up for hours and hours than those towels should be removed for other people who wish to lay out as well. They shouldn't be pulling plastic chairs out for guests who arrive because they are too afraid to remove the towels that are left unattended on chairs that are supposed to be open to everyone.
It is a shame that a resort in such a prime location isn't up to par with the others that are competing in the same small area. Other than location being great, Cabo Villas does not live up to the expectations.
