“The only good Cabo snorkeling is in Hawaii”
Reviewed 26 August 2012

We booked a snorkeling tour more than once in Mexico, thinking that perhaps "this just wasn't a good day." In our experience, there IS no good day to snorkel either in Cabo or Cancun, regardless of beach or locale. The beaches are generally rough, stirred up, and the ocean floor is invariably sandy---so the only snorkeling "coral" tends to be treacherous rocks jutting from large outcroppings here and there. We booked a snorkel boat to take us near Los Arcos, which featured crowds of several boat operators jammed into together and a guide who threw chunks of french bread into the water to attract fish. Seriously!? Several feet away were tiny fishing boats, one with a guy vomiting over the side. Bottom iine: Mexico is not a good place for snorkeling. Go to Hawaii, Australia, or elsewhere if snorkeling and viewing beautiful fish is your thing -- otherwise you'll waste your money and snorkel in the equivalent of mucky bath water.

“Don't Snorkel”
Reviewed 23 August 2012

If you have ever snorkeled anywhere else in the world that was nice, don't go hear. You will find two rocks with very small fish to snorkel around. Not worth the money.

“I hope I can go back to this beach on a better day”
Reviewed 20 August 2012

Maybe I went in the wrong day, because the water wasn't as blue as in the pictures(I am aware that they were some floods and mudslides 2 days before). I wasn't able to do some snorkeling because of the murky water, but the view around it was still great. There are no taxis available, so if you go...make sure you have transportation available.

“Gorgeous Beach”
Reviewed 15 August 2012

Beautiful public beach with nice swimming area. Easy to park and walk to beach. Don't be put off by the guard at parking lot. We enjoyed our time and felt very safe.

“Good beach for swimming/snorkeling”
Reviewed 14 August 2012

I ended up on this beach for taking a kayaking/snorkeling tour with High Tide. However, one could simply take a car/cab here as its a free public beach. The water/beach was very clean. As this is in a small bay, waves were small and I would even let a small child play in the waters (not so for most of Cabo). ALSO, one can snorkel right near the shore! Tips: there are bathrooms, but no food vendors so be sure to bring all the food/water you may want.
